The Dallas Mavericks are surveying their options for Kevin Durant
The Mavericks have had a good season but to go to the next level they may need some depth
When Durant arrived in Dallas in a blockbuster trade that sent Jimmy Butler and Victor Oladipo to Denver it seemed like a forgone conclusion that would be a Maverick for the year. All Durant has done this year is go and out and dominate and is averaging 41 fantasy points a game. But as the season progresses further i'm hearing more and more rumors that Durant could be on his way out of Dallas in search of more depth. Like we talked about earlier the Mavericks have had a very sucessful season, but really the only three players on this team are Durant, Lebron, and Lou Will. Durant probably has the most trade value so it makes the most sense that he would be the one to move.
Nothing is even close to official but we can confirm the Warriors reached out as well as a couple of other Western Conference teams. There are a lot of teams that make sense out East who aren't quite in contention yet, but have a lot of pieces as logical destinations. The Mavericks are in, "no rush" but make no mistake if the right deal comes along the Mavericks won't hesitate to take it. We'll let you know if anything more develops as this could develop into a two or three week ordeal.
