i'm hijacking this idea from The Starters
It's 1 game, but Milwaukee is the 2nd best team in the East. Toronto has to play weird lineups that simply does not get the most out of their personnel. I never realized how poorly their roster was constructed...no wonder they can't do anything in the playoffs.
Top 5 East gonna be
1. Cleveland 2. Milwaukee 3. Washington 4. Toronto 5. Boston

raptors are the new hawks and have been... solid but never gonna do anything. i think boston is gonna do a lot better than you think as well. id project em at the 3rd seed

I also get a 2011-2014 Indiana Pacers vibe too Hope you're right about the Celtics...I just feel it'd be borderline disrespectful to pick them over those 4 because at least those 4 teams either A. have been together for years or B. have legit veterans filling out their rotations where Boston is starting 2 kids who can't yet legally drink alcohol. I think the team is just too inexperienced and also they all are completely new to each other. It's gonna take a month or two to even see how they'll survive without Hayward. Lauri Markkenen is actually going to be really good btw...I felt like he had that "it" factor when I watched their game in Toronto last night. If he ends up being able to play center, then you really might have found a stud

to me losing hayward sucks but it's not like they got used to playing with him. they were all gonna have to learn each other anyway. it's kinda a shitty bright way to look at it lol. and idk i give the benefit of the doubt to the young guys, i think there too good not to get a top 3 seed in the east.
Watching bulls is hell btw but yeah markkenen is what we got goin forward

Watching bulls is hell btw but yeah markkenen is what we got goin forward Justin Holiday and Paul Zipser both had some good moments too i thought, no idea what their stats were but they flashed potential. Valentine too, hopefully he makes a leap this year. If I was Hoiberg, I'd make a point of getting extended looks at Zipser and Valentine in super small lineups at the 4 with Markkenen at the 5. If that's the type of style Hoiberg wants to run, guys like Zipser and Denzel are the key to fully unlocking that system because using Lopez/Lauri together just doesnt cut it...if im giving up like 115 ppg then i'm going to play lineups with larger "scoring variances" to counter and playing the lineups you guys played last night is really not accomplishing that at all.

As far as Tatum/Jaylen getting thrown into the fire...yeah it will speed their development for sure. It's gonna be ugly though, like tonight's game.

Washington is easily the number 2 team now imo. Giannas is gonna make an mvp case this year though

Wizards have been disappointing. Boston clearly number 2 because Kyrie is awesome. If bucks stay healthy they should get the 3 seed and would make for an epic 2nd round matchup with either Cavs or Celtics.
Great news is that the Sixers process shit worked and I'll have a team to get behind after LeBron is done in Cleveland
