Think this would be something good to implement next year. Guys like Lin and GHay who get hurt in the first game of the season and are done. Kinda dumb that their cap counts against you. Just a thought, they have it in the NBA so why not here?
Maybe like you only pay half their salary for the season, but they have to get hurt (season ending) within the first two matchups or so, thoughts?

not sure what rule in the NBA you are referring to...but the Celtics definitely still have Hayward counting against the cap or else we could just flip a couple firsts for Hassan Whiteside or something insane. There's no universe in which that is possible, unfortunately.
there's an exception which allows a team to sign an extra player, the Grizzlies and Pelicans are usually doing this by mid-December each year it seems.
If you have a link drop it so i can see, but i am pretty much 100% sure the Celtics arent getting 20+ million in cap out of thin air

I saw some article that they get like $8.something in cap this year that they have to use by March
