I am really quite excited
Hoping to grab a Cavs Kyrie cover because there are not many of them...and the jelly layup in that pose is too dope. I can't believe they took the jelly out of the updated cover. Yes, this matters to me.
MyCareer is stupid, but MyGM and MyLeague this year are going to be LIT...stash foreign players, trade rights/exceptions, deeper analytics, DLeague is finally back
I think this one might finally top 2kgoat11. Game is deep as fuck.
Just hoping the patch already in place doesn't take 7 goddamn hours like last years first day patch...

I got it. Game is super smooth, I think shooting is kinda broke in MyCareer atleast.
I think the mode is more fun this year though except the cut scenes that you can't skip lol.
Do y'all play on PS4 or Xbox?

I got it. Game is super smooth, I think shooting is kinda broke in MyCareer atleast. I do player lock in MyLeague as my own homemade version of MyCareer and wholeheartedly agree with this. Been constantly tweeking the sliders, got the base sliders from the "Eccentric Edition" on some forum and it's really nice once you make the adjustments from there. It might be different on Xbox, but on PS4 there's a ton of adjustments you have to make with shooting and CPU AI before the game is honestly even playable. The gameplay itself is smooooooth as hell, but if you're a stat nerd like me it takes some time to get right. My only gripe this year is AI when initiating halfcourt sets. On both sides. The game needs to be more fluid. No NBA team runs plays like that...they run plays like in HS and College. NBA teams have systems where every single pick in itself opens up the next move, it's all fluid and improvisational in real basketball. Each team just has different "rules" within the system. They need to seriously consider scrapping the current AI altogether and starting over, shit is wack. I still put 2k11 as the unquestioned GOAT...but this year made huge leaps. I'm having fun. |

AI also does like 8th grade level shit...pick and roll has the ballhandler go to the side with the wing/big instead of the weak side for the easy kickout option...literally any high school point guard knows that the first rule of running a pick and roll is drive to the weak side so you can kick out without throwing it into a maze. come on man.
idk maybe i was taught how to basic basketball the wrong way.
that being said...i did see GSW run a dope warped pnr where Dray popped and Klay cut from the corner on the Curry drive...I almost shit my pants
