I saw this from a Cleveland Cavaliers source guy...i'm honestly more inclined to believe the team beat writers over even Woj in this type of situation...Woj said they wanted Tatum on top and literally all Cavaliers people basically spill their coffee when hearing that report....
NBA's deadline for Isaiah and all players to take their physical is technically Thursday at 10am or some shit....BUT from what I understand, the teams will make some sort of decision tonight whether that be go through with the trade or postpone the deadline.
If Boston goes full retard and gives up Terry Rozier then I'm seriously quitting. If you think i'm joking then you don't know me very well.

The deal will go through. If anything Cleveland is gonna get a 2nd or late 1st. Rozier will not be dealt.
Call me Crystal Ball Charlie.

Agree with Chuck. CLE is just trying to squeeze whatever they can out of BOS, can't see anything other than a pick being added... Even that only because BOS is fucked by the now strangled, shitty relations with Jae/IT

The deal will go through. If anything Cleveland is gonna get a 2nd or late 1st. Rozier will not be dealt. Call me Crystal Ball Charlie. I will be very, very disappointed if the Celtics budge at all. I could have linked Cavs to a Globe article (I hate it too Kyrie don't worry) that was literally in early June that showed a picture of Isaiah hip. Also went into detail why surgery was the only real option for him to realistically be the same player, and due to that extra chip on *i think* hip flexor that will continue to be at very real risk of once again tearing the labrum. I'm on ps4 and am spending 3 hours as is on this paragraph, so there's like a 25 percent chance everything i said was purely imaginary. Later i'll have my assistant fetch the article in question because it's a really good perspective on IT's injury. Having watched him over 200 times, one hidden "badge" Isaiah has is being one of the best Acrobats in recent memory. He hangs and glides in the air for soooo long, it's insane. Even after obsessively watching his every move for that many games, i still see multiple off balance layups\ floaters every game that is either completely unique, or an added wrinkle that almost always doubles the ''ooooooh damn he's smooth" factor. He's got an actual place in the discussion of "pound for pound best player to ever live" and multiple NBA players have said this....But he fucked himself over. He should have immediately had surgery, it would have given him 6 months to focus on rest\rehab. From my research that wasn't on this shit ps4, the recovery time for that type of procedure was in the 6 month ballpark without any setbacks HOWE'ER there seemed to be a disturbingly large variance in both recovery time and success upon returning. Large variance being ''75 percent of previous effectiveness" on the good end and "Theo Ratliff after the suicide bomber emptied vest inside his knee" being the reasonable low end. What does this all mean yacob, you ask? It means that IT4 severely overplayed his "betting on myself" hand at perhaps the actual worst time in his career. He gave himself away in FA the first time and he was like 25 coming off a "ok this dude could for real help a playoff team" caliber season in Sacramento. He should have taken a 1 year deal at any price with the team that'd feature him most, both financially and development wise it's the only move if you're teeter-tottering on Tony Wroten land but know you're not, you know, Tony Wroten. He's now 28 and entering the age where being 5'9 matters a lot more, those legs and that frame can't sustain another season of what he did in Boston and it's pretty much a historical anomaly that a guy that small could take that much for basically his whole career aside from rookie year and Phx where he was either 3rd or 4th in the pecker order. I almost believe Isaiah when he says he could have been a pro Running Back, he was a freakishly gifted athlete. "Was' is a word in the last sentence that is IMHO the new sad reality. IT4 played himself worse than when I traded away Jokic\Jaylen. And like me, he's going to cry himself to sleep multiple times per week analyzing where it all went horrendously, abysmally, soul crushingly "blurring the lines between contemplating retirement\suicide" wrong. Cleveland traded for the 2018 pick. Everything else they got is just another B list actor making a cheap cameo on Lebron's Broadway musical in hopes of hitting it big on the next gig. Cleveland would be courageously, yet viciously retarded to do this deal otherwise. Them stalling like this shows how they're a less interesting version of the New York Knicks, too bad the Knickerbockers didn't capitalize on Michael being born in NY...that's what you get when you are the beneficiary of the most publicly visual demonstration of collusion this side of Shoeless Joe's Black Sox 100 years ago. We all know how long it took CWS to win again, NYK sold what could be 88 years of eating dogshit for a player who's arguably best known in 2017 as a theory that states despite him being your franchise player, the team performs demonstratively better without him entirely. KARMA EXISTS and Cleveland is trading us Kyrie Irving for ALL OF IT! (that moment when you break character and write an actual goddamn essay about your aimless and shitty untranslatable manifesto exposing the fact that you're a bona fide, fucking dingleberry) )

Tl;dr version...Basically Cleveland is admitting Lebron's departure while proving that they facefuck any sort of positive Karma they get, IT4 screwed himself over both long term on the court and financially by refusing surgery and taking a ridiculously terrible FA deal with PHX. Karma; it's real

Boston added Miami 2020 2nd. I don't agree with the principle of this at all. Cleveland is such a shit franchise lol, good luck getting another future Lebron and thanks for giving us Kyrie to what will historically be viewed as basically a 5 dollar fill up box at Taco Bell in exchange for a boneless sirloin. Sucks to suck.
What's truly disgusting is that Boston still has the best package of assets to land Anthony Davis...At this point it's almost a matter of time before Davis replaces Horford, the Pelicans have no choice but to eventually trade him before he hits the open market. No realistic trade tops what Boston can sauce them with. There are going to be 4(four) First round picks in 2019 alone unless Lakers shit the bed messier than expected, i have at the very least 6 or 7 teams under them due to upgrading pg, c and overall depth...plus Ingram is going to become their best player by the end of the year IMHO.
4 firsts, one of the brown\tatum duo, and Horford for Davis. It's basically a done deal. Pelicans and Celtics would both be crazy to not do something eerily close, Pelicans just wanna try one last genuine time in putting something together, and they've already lost the only SF on the team. Anthony Davis will be a Celtic, whether it's next summer or in February 2019 is up to Pelicans. I'd bet money on it.

Your writing off IT way too early like a dumbass. Your basically assuming he's gonna be worth nothing in a year and that's crazy stupid. Damn celtics fans narrow their head down on something and forget lmao

However when IT plays I believe he'll have a strong season. Come playoff time the Cavs are much better equipped to challenge the Warriors.

Damn celtics fans narrow their head down on something and forget lmao I think you misunderstood what my point was. I'm saying he won't get as much money in Free Agency because he's going to be a 30 year old midget with a bum hip that the Celtics didn't treat properly in the first place. He fucked himself over by betting on himself at the worst time, multiple times in his career. Reading comprehension; it comes in handy sometimes in life.

"Inferior minds" often view others as inferior. I could ask you on what basis are you superior, but the response would be embarrassing. Don't try the intellectual shit, i'll rip your guts out.

No I understood your headass. "and thanks for giving us Kyrie to what will historically be viewed as basically a 5 dollar fill up box at Taco Bell in exchange for a boneless sirloin. Sucks to suck."
You mainly focused on how IT fucked up and isn't worth much to Boston anymore. While thats true, I'd argue come playoff time, the Cavs are in a way better spot than last year. In a way this deal WAS a win win for both teams, yet your caught up drooling over Irving's nuts and can't see over your Boston beer belly. (Is that a thing? if it was, I'm sure you sport one)
Really? IT Crowder BKN's pick and Zizic was an overpay headass. While yes Boston had a million assets and could afford to do a deal like this, they didn't do anything impressive. People around the league are saying Kyrie would have to turn into a top 10 player for it to equal what Boston handed out.
Stop thinking the Celtics are gonna get AD, if anything BKN's pick might land Cleveland a stud like Cousins.

So I would argue Brooklyn pick is definitely lottery, but won't have the best odds at #1. Don't fall into the trap of saying the trade was good or bad depending on where the brooklyn pick ends up, because if we are trying to say who wins/loses a trade, that is a set asset that as of now looks to be a top 10 pick (with any luck it'd be better, or if the east bottoms out maybe brooklyn climbs up to 10th/9th seed).
With that being said, Cleveland won the trade, and Boston did well also. Isaiah was going to be gone, Crowder was very expendable as we needed to play Tatum / Brown at the 3 (as well as Hayward, let's not forget). You have Kyrie for a 2nd year, at a controllable 18million (allows you to resign Smart for 12 million next year if you feel like it) and maybe Kyrie will re-sign in free agency (I won't assume). Cleveland did really well in this trade by adding a top pick, a role player under contract for 3 more seasons, and a low level starter in Crowder. Zizic isn't a throw in by any means, he's just not ready this year. And the IT hip thing is pretty over-stated, the guy will compete just fine this year and allows to "contend" for one more season before he leaves Cleveland pillaged (but also one championship richer). Will be interesting to see what they do with Love at that point but both teams made out well.
With that said, anyone talking to Danny Ainge KNOWS he had a ton of assets, and the sad thing is that deals got done for less with other teams but the same teams would have wanted more out of Boston because they had the assets. So to get Kyrie, you had to include all of the above (except the 2020 2nd rounder, Cleveland can stick their head in Ainge's "boston beer belly" and felate him at a later date as repayment).
