Wanted to think for awhile but I think this would be legit.
Basically the exact same rules with 2nd rounders that you draft here can immediately be put in there with like a 2m cap hold each, so it'd at least make you have to invest something right before FA.
G-Leaguers are automatically given 2 year, 2m contract and then RFA. NBA call-up costs 500k or something. Again the point is trying to force you into making tough decisions and not just throwing 150 players into 30 G-League teams
Also, we can put an NBA minutes cap on the players in your G-League slots and they cannot be on your ESPN roster whatsoever at any time before being activated.
I don't think this would hurt Free Agency at all or thin the talent pool available that people want to sign post-draft...If anything, it's a way for teams to invest on players before they break into NBA rotations.
Let me know what you think. We have a year.

Just a thought to put into context my "2m for each slot" proposal...
I signed Sindarius Thornwell, a 2nd rounder who legit might be in the rotation for LAC, for 820k. I might have paid him 2m, but he's one of maybe 5 2nd rounders who would actually be worth it right now IMO.
