Well the available players is any player that hasn't been drafted. Use ctrl f and then type a name and you can see if it's been picked. For contracts use the site spotrac.

heads up... don't count on the app working for checking PM's, i've been using it for several years, with several different phones, and it is great for checking on new threads/comments/FA bids and stuff like that, but i'd say the PM function only works like maybe 10% of the time.
