Luka Doncic is the best player that hasn't yet been drafted by an NBA team, but he's technically been playing professionally since about age 15 so that disqualifies him.
1. Marvin Bagley III. Have you ever even seen a true PF prospect like this? Good lord. I dont know what else to say, the man is a fucking monster. He also seems to genuinely love basketball and from what I read about him, he's a student of the game. I don't even know who to compare him to...he's already grown into his own prototype. He also has a little brother *gasps*
2. Michael Porter Jr. 6'10 and can do everything. Unselfish, solid handle, crafty pass fakes, athletic...yeah this dude has it all. He's probably somewhere between Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin, but his potential is much higher than either one of those guys due to Porter's modern day combination of size/athleticism/shooting. Another guy who by all accounts has a great work ethic and gets noticeably better every few months. Love these types of players, the direction basketball is trending today is just incredible.
3. Bol Bol. 7'3 with a 7'8 wingspan, he bombs 3's and handles in transition. Yeah...I'll take a flier on that. He's basically a better, more skilled version of his father. Again...the future of basketball is fucking insane.
4. Emoni Bates. You probably haven't heard this name yet, but holy fucking shit. I wanted to put this kid #1, but he's soooo young that he could just develop other interests and never reach full potential. This kid is like 13 years old and I swear to god he would be the best player in any small D-1 conference such as America East right now. At fucking 13 years old he reminds me of goddamn Grant Hill(which kinda makes sense, he's from Michigan. Pops prob showed him a bunch of retro GHill). I just can't wait until he starts playing in HS against kids closer to his size, then we can get a better feel for what he really is. We could look back on this and make fun of the fact that I have him 4th even at 13 years old.
5. Cam Reddish. I think he's a more skilled Jon Isaac. He also kinda vaguely reminds me of Brandon Ingram. He's a uniquely long SF and probably will still grow a bit, but his potential as a 4 is probably quite limited due to his frame...kinda same boat as Tatum/Ingram there
Honorable mentions:
RJ Barrett...my biggest question with him is drive
DeAndre Ayton...see RJ Barrett
Mo Bamba....in the modern NBA idk if Bamba will be the physical force that he would have been if he played for the 2001 Philadelphia 76ers. He's the most Theo Ratliff prospect i've probably ever seen, which is actually not a bad thing
Romeo Langford...SG with length and vision
Moses Brown...huge motherfucker with a vicious yet soft touch
Justin Jackson(Maryland) i think he's a huge sleeper. His length is retarded and his skills are developing. He was raw as fuck a very short time ago
Zion Williamson...most fun i've ever had watching a game in person was Zion. i think his ceiling is a lot lower than most think, but hes a very good player and has fire
Chol Marial...he's not as skilled or high strung as his cousin Thon, but this kid can play. he'll be a lottery pick
