#1 Alexandre Sarr
Has been my top guy since last year and nothing has changed. One of the few franchise altering talents I can find in this class. Natural rim protector with the athleticism to guard 1-5 if needed. Still developing a post game and would love to see his shooting numbers become more consistent, however, the tools are obviously there that make him the obvious #1 overall pick in my eyes.
#2 Tidjane Salaun
It was love at first sight. Still shocked he hasn't garnered top 5 pick attention in a class where there isn't much of a sure thing. The highest ceiling in the class. The youngest prospect in the draft, has an insanely high motor. Shoots the ball very well with a nice combination of size and athleticism. The only real reason to be drawn back a bit is just how early on in the process he is. But it also makes it really exciting to think about how he may only be scratching the surface of his potential.
#3Robert Dillingham
Personally I don't understand why teams are beginning to fade him. And it may be complete smoke anyways. An undersized guard with elite shot creation and an unlimited bag. Showed potential as a playmaker for others and I believe the spacing at the next level will benefit this kid tremendously. Developed into one of the top 3 point shooters.
#4Carlton Carrington
Might just be my biggest conviction in the draft. The best shot creator in the class, gets to his spot and puts the ball in the basket. Would like to see him get to the rim a bit more to mix it up but his jumper is pure. Love what I saw from him as a playmaker. One of the youngest in the draft with lots of room to grow but I think this kid has what it takes to be an elite primary ball handler at the next level someday.
#5 Donovan Clingan
Wasn't sure I'd have him this high. Much more mobile than I expected. Clingans immediate impact will obviously come on the defensive end and whatever he can scrape on the offensive boards. But his mobility in the lane makes him a play finisher threat at least. His long-term offensive upside gives me some concern but I definitely have him higher than I originally thought I would.
#6Reed Sheppard
Absolutely loved this kids game at Kentucky. Has unlimited range with good facilitating abilities making him a good fit in todays combo guard driven league. More than viable on the defensive end and has solid bounce for his size. The draft capital he is projected to get is going to put him on the floor immediately.
#7Devin Carter
Totally on board with the rise of Devin Carter. One of the best all around players in the class. No glaring weaknesses, which in this class is tough to come by. Shows tremendous burst with the ball in his hands. And always seems to be under control. Rebounds well for his size. Massive improvement offensively sophomore to junior season. The only part of his profile you can maybe pick on is his measurements came out a bit below expectation.
#8Zaccharie Risacher
Like him better IRL than fantasy. One of the most polished shooters in the class. Shoots nearly 40% from deep with very good mobility off ball to get open looks consistently. Good athlete that shows a ton of potential in transition. Needs to get stronger as he tends to have a tough time finishing at the rim. Not much of a self creator which makes it hard to get to the top 5 price tag for me.
#9Yves Missi
Higher than most here. Tremendous lob threat and and versatile athlete. At face value he is your typical rim running big, believe there is a ton of upside that comes with his game. Will present some issues with floor spacing potentially and landing spot could determine alot for his development. Regardless I love what I saw on tape and believe he will plug in as a solid defensive contributor right away.
#10 Cody Williams
Was up and down on Cody all season. Elite level athlete, more than half of his attempts come at the rim where he finishes at more than 75%. Colorado had him bringing the ball up the floor quite often and he has shown potential as a point forward. His turnover to assist ratio left a lot to be desired but I believe there was alot of meat left on the bone by way of his teammates inability to finish quality looks generated from Cody. Small sample size as a shooter and I believe this will have to be a focus point for him at the next level.
#11 Nikola Topic
Honestly would have been #3 on my board before injury. Two knee injury's in one season is enough to scare me away from a top 10 pick. The talent is unquestionable though. And my concerns of his inability to shoot have diminished a bit as he is actually really good at the line and that tends to translate well into becoming a quality three point threat. Topic has an elite skill set when it comes to his handle, playmaking and finishing. In fact he is easily the most creative playmaker in the class.
#12 Ron Holland
Very surprised that I came to admire a lot about Hollands game. Top level athlete who specializes in getting to the rim. Very obvious holes keep him from the top of the list though. Shooting being the primary culprit. I believe he is going to struggle out of the gate but his motor and effort is shown on display in his tape and could be a solid year 2 or 3 breakout candidate.
#13 Kyle Filipowski
Just one of those guys I have a hard time believing wont find success in the NBA. Will make an immediate impact as a stretch big in the league. Was the center piece of Duke basketball for 2 seasons. Can be a guy you run an offense through. Very good playmaker and finisher. High floor prospect.
#14 Zach Edey
Don't have a strong opinion either way on Edey. The best player in college basketball for the last couple seasons. I believe the biggest question will be whether or not he can keep up with the NBA pace. A high usage guy in college with over 30%. However his game likely won't see anywhere near that at the next level. Massive human who has an ability to create space for himself downlow in unique ways.
#15 Cam Christie
First impression of Cam is that he enters the league much more polished than his older brother did two seasons ago. Showcases high level shooting with the ability to get to the rim as well. Really believe he can develop more as a playmaker as well giving him the potential to be a solid secondary ball handler for a squad at some point. Good enough on the defensive side to stay on the floor in all situations.
#16 Matas Buzellis
Would've most likely been at the top of my board out of high school. His shooting looked promising coming into the season. But took a big step backwards this past year with the Ignite. Making me believe he will be more streaky at the next level as well. The best part of his game in my opinion comes from his ability's to create mid range looks for himself. To build off that I would like to see a bit tighter handle as he tends to be loose with the ball and is prone to turnovers. Also lacks the abililty to get by defenders and settles for the mid range quite often.
#17 Jaylon Tyson
Shot up my board late in the process. Big bodied do-it-all wing who made a massive jump sophomore to junior season. Had the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands a ton at Cal and he did the most with it. Looked good in the PNR offense. The only real restriction I can see is the athleticism isn't really there but it doesn't really worry me too much as the NBA has gone much more skill based.
#18 Isaiah Collier
Would never have thought he would be this low after his early season start. Was a bit up and down. Plays super fast and has shown great ability getting to the rim and finishing. Can get a bit out of control at times. Like the upside I saw as a playmaker and I believe his game will translate well at the next level. Going to need to clean up some of the decision making.
#19 Kel'el Ware
He meets the eye test. Bouncy big who does most of his work at the rim. Big name prospect coming out of high school but took a step back his freshman season. Found himself a bit his first season at Indiana. Elite size with an incredible catch radius at the rim. Needs to get better with finishing through contact. Does showcase nice touch around the rim.
#20 Johnny Furphy
Another white floor spacer from Kansas. Honestly felt like he had a bit of similarities to Grady on tape. Freshman that played his way into a much bigger role in the second half of the season at Kansas. Projects as a stretch floor but also showcased highlevel upside while finishing at the rim. Very good off ball movement that creates additonal opportunities and make his ceiling alot more promising.
#21 Dalton Knecht
Wasn't sure where he fit on this board. Actually don't mind his game if he lands in the right spot. Scores at all 3 levels well. Is good enough off ball to find additional opportunities as well. However, he does not do much in many other categories.
#22 Ja'Kobe Walter
First guy I studied back in November. He is what he is. Highly projected coming out of high school. Jakobe is one of the best options from deep in the draft. However, I had to try really hard to find a reason why he is not a completely one dimensional prospect. Hes a below average athlete, with a lackluster handle and has a tough time getting to the rim. Not a sure thing on defense either. Will need to find a specific fit to be a possible consistent rotation guy early on.
#23KJ Simpson
A certified dawg. Love the attitude and energy this kid plays with. And he has the skills to match. Has a tendency to make some poor decisions on the court but has tremendous court vision and playmaking upside to get into my top 25.
#24 Stephon Castle
Projects better IRL than fantasy in my opinion. Great wing defender who will be able to guard 1-3, should be a solid stock contributor. Finishes well, but would like to see more creativity in the playmaking. Again another guard that cant shoot so going to be tough to make an immediate impact.
#25 Nikola Djurisic
The more I watch the more I become really intrigued. He really showcases a high level passing the basketball and can be a knockdown shooter. Think hes the perfect mix of NBA ready with upside. Performed well at the combine and has played multiple years against professional level competition.
#26 Ulrich Chomche
This is honestly a case of hoping the skills match the tools this kid has. There really is no in between he is either gonna be really good or return overseas in 4 years. Think this is the point of the draft to start thinking about the upside swing.
#27 Tyler Kolek
Another guy I find it hard to believe won't find a way to make some impact. Easily the best pure passer of the rock in the class. Gradually improved as a scoring threat his last couple of seasons and he has proven to be enough of a threat from 3 that should help him at the next level. A bit small and I feel like his upside is a bit capped. Could eventually become a core glue guy for a contender.
#28Kyshawn George
A very tough kid to gauge. Interesting prospect. Not a guy that was projected to even be 1 and done but made enough of a impact and showed a ton of promise at the U. I believe he is most intriguing as a playmaker at the next level. Shooting was very inconsistent and he had a tendency to miss very badly on occasion. Very raw prospect who will likely need a year or two to develop his offensive potential.
#29 Oso Ighodaro
Always thought he was a nice complimentary big for Kolek at Marquette. Believe he can effect the game in more ways than one with his athleticism and playmaking at 6'10. Think his lack of muscle is overblown by other analysts as he appeared to play physical enough down low from my vantage point.
#30 Jonathan Mogbo
Just another kid I can see being a nice complimentary role player on a lot of teams. Very unique prospect. Has the tools to be a point-forward type. He shot a total of 2 threes his entire career so I'm going to assume there is a reason for that. Rebounds at a high level and can playmake for others.
Just missing the cut: DaRon Holmes, Ryan Dunn, Baylor Scheierman, Ajay Mitchell, Pacome Dadiet, Jared McCain
