Kings trade:
Cameron Thomas 1.78 3.2 RFA 2026 POR 2nd
Pistons trade: DeAnthony Melton 10.5 10.5 UFA 2026 NYK 1st
I accept. I flip Cam Thomas for another first rounder and get Melton, who is productive. Pleasure doing business, Detroit!

Pistons accept. Clearing cap and I think Thomas can give similar production

Approve. I'm not sure Cam Thomas is ever a huge scorer in here and getting a first on top of Melton seems nice for him. Contract wise tho I do understand Pistons clearing cap and getting a much cheaper deal.

Approve.
This is tough for the Pistons. I get the logic of needing to move off some cap to figure out the Kawhi re-sign, but needing to attach a first feels unnecessary. I'd guess there would've been more suitors if Melton had been posted in the trades channel and you wouldn't have needed to attach a 1 to move off him.
Nice work Kings
