Mavs trade: Jon Isaac 14.38 / 16.88 / 16.88 Isaiah Stewart 5.27 / RFA Pelicans 2024 1 Worse of Mavs 2025 1 and Bucks 2025 1 (Mavs choose which to send when order finalized)
Hornets trade: Jon Collins 11.54 (5.73m paid) / 17.27 / 17.27 Ayo Dosunmu 1.49 / 2.69 2025 CHA 2 2026 SAS 2* if 2025 CHA 2 is pick 37 or below
Mavs accept. Didn’t wanna add that extra 1 and tj didn’t wanna send the cap I needed for more trades which made this a fun negotiation. Goodbye loyal soldier stew. Welcome shit irl JC. Think he’s being paid too much to ever fully get benched on jazz or elsewhere. Think Ayo may have a role down the stretch due to Bulls dynamics. Believe in JI but he’s coming back slower than I’d anticipated and I need the points now.

I accept. What kyle calls "fun" i call slimey and unethical. Accepting a deal agreeing to post and then coming back and saying you "mismathed" and need more cap is utter bullshit and you are a bitch for that.
Nice deal

Approve. Like this for TJ but understand for Mavs as well. JC has looked better recently so he should be solid for Mavs playoff push even if there is a slight trade risk. But longterm I think that contract could bite Mavs in the ass because I'm just not sure John Collins is a player teams can win with. Ayo is a whatever player imo but he could be in line for a boost at the deadline if Lavine gets shipped out or Caruso. I also think Jonathan Isaac looks incredible in spurts and if he wasn't made of glass I might like him more than JC straight up, but still some sneaky upside for Hornets. Beef Stew might not be a longterm starter in the nba but there's enough there for him to be a regular rotational big in the league and in here thats easily 20 a game. The 2nd first rounder being added feels extra but with the added 2nds it basically balances out. Overall solid stuff from both sides.

Approve.
I'm not sure that any piece in this deal is a good asset. Like Sood said, Ayo has looked better recently w/o Lavine--we'll see what the Bulls do IRL at the deadline. Collins and JI probably cancel eachother out--I don't think either player gets back to what they were previously. Kyle getting another 2nd for the sake of getting a 2nd is awesome.
Stew has a good amount of committed money coming his way over the next few years in Detroit, so he should get consistent run and is still only 22.
Deal seems fair all around

Pass, love it for hornets, think Isaac is a better asset than Collins, like ayo IRL but don't think he's a good fantasy player, opposite for Stew, plus the picks makes this a great deal for TJ. Get it for Mavs, just don't think it's smart long-term
