The Ish Smith Saga has come to an End
After what felt like years of negotiations, the Pelicans and the Jazz have come to an agreeement to send Point guard Ish Smith for what Utah claims to be an unprotected top 10 pick in 2019 along with minor sidepieces.
The deal is structured as follows:
Pelicans get:
INTL - Zhou Qhi
INTL - Wang Zhelin
Utah 2019 2nd
Boston 2019 1st
Utah get:
PG: Ish Smith 6, 6, UFA (Pelicans cover 75% of Smiths Salary in the 1st year)
I accept, getting more picks is alright for me, although i was looking for more for Smith initially since i believe he will turn some heads come the start of the season, but I had some time pressure to get a deal done before the draft starts, so this is alright I guess. |

I accept. I loved ish since his days at wake and believe Reggie Jackson has played his way all but out of Detroit.

Ok so u ask the world of me for Ish and tell me how great he is yet u trade him to TJ for this? Makes sense!!! apv I always was very upfront about wanting two 1sts for him, but since no one was willing to pay that and I had time pressure to open up some roster spots for my incoming rookie class, I settled for a 1st and some side stuff like the 2nd and the chinese guys. Especially, because Qi has a shot of actually coming over this or next year since the Rockets are keeping close tabs on him.
Lastly, the most you were willing to offer for Ish was something like 2 2nds, so I dont understand why you are being mad that I took an objectively better offer.

Ain't nobody mad fam, I just find it find it weird ur value of him dropped so highly. U raved about him to me then u traded him to TJ for some rocks and paid for him too. (JK but u get the point lol) |
