Hornets Get:
Sean Kilpatrick $1.05mil (17) 2017 1st round 18th pick
Kings Get:
Marc Gasol $22.64mil(17) $24.12mil(18)
I accept, glad to get a young guy and a pick for the rebuilding process. (Hopefully format is better)

Accept,
Basically did kilpatrick and melo for gasol which im perfectly fine with. Gasol produces more, cheaper and longer contract, and a year younger.
Gotta say im pretty happy with how this turned out.

Looks lopsided in my eyes but getting more cap and a 1st to rebuild is good

Really dislike this deal, reeks of an intelligent owner taking advantage of a new one... Kilpatrick "showed flashes", as people like to say around here, but i think that was largely a byproduct of his situation. People like Arron Afflalo have shown flashes in similar circumstances. So we're looking at a small sample size long shot to ever consistently/significantly produce, plus a moderately decent pick (which will most likely not turn out to be anything spectacular), for Marc Gasol, who is head and shoulders above anyone else as hornets' best player at this point in their various careers.
However, Keenan has shown a certain level of savvy to this point, and it (sort of) makes sense to sell an expensive older dude for a couple cheap young ones when you're not realistically competing... Reluctant pass, with the caveat that hornets understands that he could have gotten a shit of a lot more for a fantasy producer like Marc Gasol. I personally would've given a better player than Kilpatrick and multiple picks, for one. Really, if you're unsure about a trade, you should ask yourself if it would realistically happen in the NBA; I know this league is different, and it's far from a perfect methodology, but at least as a starting point for new owners in trade considerations. Would Memphis trade Gasol for Sean motherfucking Kilpatrick and the #18 pick? Not if they were a Kardashian and it was the last pro athlete dick in the universe, no matter how much cap it saved them. There are many legitimate reasons why, and this should probably have occurred to hornets, so hopefully it's a lesson learned situation.
Anyway, reluctant pass like I said. Feels like I do this every time we have a batch of new owners, but here we go again... For the love of almighty fucking Christ, do not trade away your best player just for the sake of "doing something"! At least thoroughly explore/eliminate all possible better options before doing something like this. Maybe we all need to be ripped apart to realize we should be more careful in trading studs, Lord knows it happened to me.
Incidentally, the format was great by my standards, thank you Keenan, and excellent work Kings.

Approve,
again in theory i get it you're trying to get younger get cap off the books. Marc Gasol is worth so much more than this though, and you could have gotten more, but this is not veto-able.
