Week 2 Game of the WEEK
Detroit Pistons Vs. Portland Trailblazers
In what could easily turn out to be the preview of the BBall26 Finals, there will be a lot of questions answered this week.
Pistons has opened out on a heater with some of their players playing even beyond lofty expectations.
There are some potential issues in the matchup that could hinder Pistons chances here, as Chet and Klaw combine for only a 5 game slate this week.
Chet has started out extremely well in his first 3 games and will only continue to improve moving forward. Klaw has started the year playing all of his games and I think will only ramp up production. The best part of the roster has been the depth with so many guys contributing, and players like Kuzma, Nurkic outperforming any expectations so far.
I think this will be a big week for Cade as well, while he has been on and off so far in the season it usually takes a few games to get back in rhythm and I see that happening this week.
On the Blazers side, what a great start its been for the defending champions. My #1 preseason ranked team is off to the races with Jokic just picking up where he left off. While Dame has taken a bit to find his footing on his new team, the rest of the roster has found big roles to increase their production. Guys like Delon Wright, Marcus Smart, Shaedon Sharpe are contributing like elite 2nd tier guys and I could see Sharpe even improve on his numbers moving forward. I am looking for a bounce back week from the often forgotten 3rd start on this team in Vucevic as he is off to a slower start than usual. The bottom end depth does need to step up a bit for the Blazers but the stars can carry them to a top 5 offense most weeks without even the slighest of help.
The Blazers get 4 games of Jokic, 4 games of Sharpe, and 3 games of Dame to boot.
Prediction: Blazers by 75 Points
