I guess when I see something like this my question is always: would a real life team ever make this deal? Would a real life team who’s best player is Zubac trade a future first without protections for a former second round pick who is starting on a team that is only starting him to tank?
No, they would not. It doesn’t mesh with his timeline at all. There is no rationale here that makes me see this as a logical move. Wizards lineup is not at the place to compete for a playoff spot this year.
I veto, I’m sorry Wizards.

Approve. Pretty atrocious and short sighted stuff from Wiz here from a team building perspective, but just because I disagree with the way a team is being run isn't enough to veto a singular trade in my eyes. In a vacuum this trade is still bad but not vetoable considering Tre Jones is 23 and averaged 27 a game last year.
To be completely honest, I had to think about this one for a solid hour and came pretty close to Vetoing. But I'm just not sure what exactly about this situation makes it different then any other situation in the past where I've disagreed with the direction a team has gone. Yes, the Wizards are not a pretty sight currently but the pick is 3 years out and we already saw this year that the lottery makes it pretty hard for any pick to be guaranteed a specific spot(Trey had the worst record and ended with the 5th pick).
No one in this league can really predict the future, we don't need to go through the pick trade gaffes the sharks of this league have all made. In the same kind of boat, I don't think it's fair to assume this will kill the Wiz team or that this will for sure be a top 5 pick in 2026. Wiz has made his team work in the past despite being pretty underestimated. He's probably going to have to pull another miracle out of his ass to make this one work but he gets enough benefit of the doubt from me to not Veto.

Reasoning for vetoing this trade- In my eyes, a trade should only be vetoed when it threatens to harm the competitive balance of the league, or destroy a team beyond repair. Is that a little much? Was it a culmination of moves that got Octy to this point? Probably. But IMO, this trade puts his team in the worst spot in the league. His 2026 1st is his best asset and that pick needs to stay on his roster unless he's moving it for a cornerstone piece. I don't want to have to restart because Wizards is beyond repair, and if this trade is allowed, I believe his team could be toast for even longer than it already is.
