Jimmy has done nothing but get buckets all year long
With are our first post of the year we just want to briefly talk about the season thus far, what we can expect the rest of the way, and briefly touch on a rumor that's been floating around. Let us get into it! I think it is safe to say this season has been a success, the Warriors sit 9-2 and third out West despite an ugly loss last week. The Warriors are in picture perfect position to wrap up the Pacific division crown in the league's inaugural year. That being said, the West is about as wide open as it's ever been and there are about 6 teams out West that could win it all. If the playoffs were to start today, the Dubs would match-up against division rival the Sacramento Kings, owned by long time friend David Espinola. With Blake almost back and healthy NOBODY wants to play the Kings come round 1. The key this year is going to come down to the health of Jimmy Butler and Nic Batum, both of which have missed time recently. If either miss time it is curtains on this season, because of how strong the league is. But when this team is healthy and at its best, this team hangs with every team in the league. We also wanna use this moment to quickly shout out our franchise guy in Jimmy Buckets. His improvement has been astounding, and the guy really is now a borderline superstar. He is the cornerstone of this franchise, and hopefully a life long Warriors.
Before we wrap up we wanna touch on a rumor. The Warriors have apparent interest in Knicks forward Jamychael Green, who has been made available. It seems like the asking price is a first, but the Warriors would also need to clear a roster spot, and cap room. I don't see this deal as very likely, as they most likely want to keep that first and have as much cap room as possible in order to resign Teague this off-season. Thanks for tuning, i'll catch you next time on Golden State of Mind.
