Cavs receive:
Cole Anthony 3.61, 5.54 RFA Jaylen Nowell .25 (2025) 2022 1st (GSW)
Knicks receive:
Lebron James 25.27 (2023) Ben McLemore .25 (2025) Cavs cover 2M in 2022
Probably the toughest deal ive made. As im typing this and reading the comments, Caleb and Jacob hit the nail on the head. I talked with quite a few people about Lebron but I could tell early on I wasnt going to get this haul I expected. But a few others that I engaged with were more than fair and made some good offers. I decided to go with this mainly because I felt Cole was the best player that was offered. Sorry Sarge, KPJ just needed one extra year before RFA.
Thanks for making the back and forth easy and being fair throughout. Knicks to confirm

Accept. Last 2 members of the heater squad leaving is a sad day indeed. That being said pairing Lebron with PG, Beal and Bridges was too enticing to pass up on. Thanks for the easy talks Jon. Cole is gonna be a huge dawgggg for you.

Approve, like for knicks obviously but long term this could be sticky.

Approve. After sitting on it for 30 seconds, I can make that decision. As a previous Lebron owner, I can understand how hard it is to get value for him, let alone get it at his ripe age. I think he will be a solid value for 2 years and help the knicks compete. In terms of Cavs, it is slightly weird to bank in on Cole as the prime player in the deal with how many assets Orlando has at guard. He did show out this year so hard to discredit that.

Approve
I get the market was pretty dry for Bron but feel like a better package could have been had down the line? Idk. Basketball is fucking back in the big apple though

Approve.
I'm lower on Cole Anthony than consensus, so I think this is worse than it probably will be. In my view, there's no guarantee Cole is a starter in Orlando moving forward and his skillset isn't great for our league scoring to begin with. Getting off an age-37 LeBron is understandably pretty difficult, but I would've dangled him out there at least until FA opens up before making this decision.
Bron has 2-3 competitive years left IMO and Knicks just became a legit title contender throughout that window.

Pass, decent value for an older LeBron who's finally showing wear and missing significant chunks of time, but agree with blaze about Cole, would've wanted someone more guaranteed if I were Cavs
