Nuggets Receive:
Rudy Gobert $20.22 mil UFA
Jazz Receive:
Jaren Jackson Jr. $15.45 mil 5 years Bones Hyland $1.71 mil $1.79 $3.23 RFA Nuggets 2024 1st
Nuggets accept. I am so sad to see bones go ... it truly hurts my insides because I love the guy. But the reality is Jamal is coming back next year, Monte is there, and I just cannot see too much playing time for my guy during a year in which I am trying to be more competitive. I get a stud 40 pt scorer I can resign next year who will hopefully get shipped off to another team where they actually pass him the ball. Good dealing TJ, surprised we actually got something done.

Approve. Tj smashes this, JJJ could easily be worth more than Rudy in a year or 2. But I guess this is the trade you have to make when you for some reason swapped your 2023 first with another team 2 seasons ago 😂😂😂. I’m sure Rudy’s 40 a game will still come in hella clutch for Kev. Fun trade.

Approve don't have as much faith in jjj as everyone else but great value considering his situation for TJ. Can't believe Kevin didn't use his leverage after preaching it for my trades

APV.
Rudy is a stud in this format so it's cool for Kev. Agree with what Jacob said tho + trading Bones because Jamal is back and Monte Morris is there is a pretty trash process. Bones is a good player and while he may not have nuclear upside, he'll play and be a solid rotational piece.

Approve.
I like the Jazz getting ahead of their '23 off-season re-sign mess (Rudy/Vuc) super early, should make matters easier at the trade deadline next season. Jazz gets a guy in JJJ that is still only 22 (!!) and is locked up long-term at a relatively cheap rate. If he ever learns how to rebound and not foul, he can absolutely be a 40-point guy in our scoring. Getting a flyer like Bones + a 1st to re-stock the pick cabinet to boot--TJ comes out of this with a big ole smile on his face.
I can't fault Nuggets for grabbing the big, reliable producer here. Kev wants to get back in the mix out West and getting Gobert helps accomplish that goal immediately. I'm looking forward to the follow-up trades and seeing what he does with tons of cap space in the off-season.
