I accept - this is about competing this year and taking away the two most viable, high producing expiring contracts in this league away from other contenders and limiting the amount of money that can be paid out if they were to be flipped again, making things more difficult to get done. I gain around 22 points per game this year and more importantly, add a guy why can get me 50 on any given night(welcome back home chris.) I like javale as well on a minimum deal as that saves me 3.25M in cap next year by trading holiday and holding similar, albeit better production, with not as much usage and pt needed. Sure I give away my first next year but i'm trying to compete the next three years and that pick will be late. I keep okc 2nd this year which will be a nice mid second to have and get rid of my late second that'll be in the 50s, orlando second the following year that should be in the 50s and my second in 2024 that should follow suit. A lot of risk and reward here but I had to put myself in a real position to win and the one position on my roster that isn't always filled is pg, given kyrie lays half of the games and cj is my only other player w/ point guard eligibility. Chris and Javale will give me more games during the playoffs in weeks I think I'll need it.

Accepted. I cant keep Tobias. so this was a way for me to recoup some of the assets the previous owner traded away. Getting those picks, covington, and holiday is better than losing Tobias for nothing.

[Atlanta Hawks (Trey)]

I accept, we all know where this is headed. I’ll be retooling in the near future. Locking myself into a 40+ year old CP3 seems like a pretty bad idea. As for Tobias I actually hate him in Philly but do believe a trade could suit him well. He’s only 29 and still a 30-32fpg scorer. Derrick Jones is also 24 with some upside over 33 year old Javale

[Milwaukee Bucks (Jacob)]

Approve, makes sense for all. Johnny gets a couple of all-in pieces for the playoffs, though I'm not certain on Javale. With Jalen playing well, and Ayton presumably coming back for the playoffs, his value could go down. Could do worse as a 12th man though. Meh on it for Trey, Kings does well.

Approve. I can't believe a couple of days ago people were saying there were no better offers for Tobias. Kings do an awesome of job getting some good value for Tobi. Pels consolidate some assets to get a leg up in the arms race. I think the Hawks get the short end of the stick here, but they are in a crazy situation and had to do something so I definitely understand. Tobi-Harden-Dame will keep Hawks relevant next year as well. Overall really fun trade!

Approve, I actually didn't like this for the Hawks but after reading his explanation I can kind of understand it. Tobi certainly doesn't feel 29 years old! Consistency has been his problem when it comes to his stats; he vanishes some nights and that has been his problem in Detroit & Orlando too. But in theory, 29 years old is still early enough to have another 4 or 5 years of solid production.

The Chris Paul upcoming re-sign at 37 years old + Lillard's injury issues puts Trey in an impossible spot here--probably not the way he envisioned the season going, but I agree with the general consensus--Tobias is still in his prime and could benefit from a change in scenery.

Kings has done well the first few days on the job to restock draft capital. I'd anticipate Covington being shipped elsewhere before the deadline to recoup even more assets. The Pels 1st in '23 doesn't look like the sexiest pick, but as we've seen this year, anything can happen.

Ultimately this is a "go for the jugular" move from Johnny that I fucking love. Somehow he stays under the cap (again) and heads into the playoffs with CP3, Kyrie, CJ, Derozan, Lavine, Wood, & hopefully Draymond.
