Milwaukee Bucks Atlanta Hawks
Ooooweee do we have a fun match-up heading into week 10. The two top teams out east match-up in what should be a classic. This looks like it should be the battle for the Eastern Conference. The Bucks should be well rested coming off a bye, while the Hawks took care of business against a solid Pacers squad last week. A big factor in this one is the health of Chris Paul. Paul has been the most consistent guard outside of Russ all season long and has been a huge part of the Bucks undefeated run. Yes, the Bucks have solid depth, but losing a 40+ point a night stud is going to hurt everyone. CP3 didn't play on Christmas day so it wouldn't surprise me if he is held out for a couple more games. That would mean guys like Tyler Johnson, Gary Harris, and Thabo would need to step up. The big key for the Hawks coming in is Harell. With Capela out, Harell is in for a much larger role, and if he can produce 25-30 a night that would be huge for the Hakws moving forward.
As usual the Bucks will rely heavily on Giannis. Giannis has been unbelievable all year long. Luckily for the Bucks Giannis will be playing four games this week, something that really could be huge in the Bucks pulling off a win this week. Gary Harris has been awesome since his return and if he can continue to keep up this level of play for the rest of the year this Bucks team is honestly pretty scary. Really everybody on this Bucks team has been trending up these past couple weeks. Tyler Johnson has been big time of late. Ersan, since his move to PHilly has been serviceable. Dedmon has found a role in SA. Crowder is back and healthy. This really is about as complete of a team as you can get and if everybody plays to their potential they should be able to pull out a win this week.
You can never really count out good ol John. No matter how boring his team looks on paper they ALWAYS find a way to get it done. This team is led by DJ and Kyle Lowry. Lowry has been on fire of late and will need to be big this week to stay with the piping hot Bucks. DJ should take on a bigger role offensively with Blake out with CP3 out im not sure, as a lot of his looks come for Chris, but i'm sure John wouldn't mind. Jon L has found himself a solid role in Detroit and has been a nice little investment for John this season. Derrick Rose has also been very solid since his return to the lineup. It looks like an uphill battle for the Hawks this week but really anything can happen. Lowry, DJ, and Rose will all need big weeks, but it could happen.
I like the Bucks in this one. I think CP3 atleast plays a couple game this week, and i think the Bucks depth can handle it even if he doesn't. Kyle Lowry is on fire, but he will need some help this week if the Hawks want to knock off the Bucks. This Bucks team is one of the hottest teams going right now, and on paper should roll. Anything can happen though. I like the Bucks by 150 or so.
