Pelicans trade - Chris Paul 18.16m 1yr
Hawks trade - Robert Covington 12.98m 1yr (Hawks pay 3m) Royce O’Neal 1.75m 1yr Hawks 2024 1st
I accept, big upgrade in production. Age is but a number, if the Suns can dump 200mil on CP3 they damn sure believe he’s got those years in him and so do I. Accept, good dealing Pels.

Thought I’d give my thought process...based on last years numbers, I get around 8-9 points here plus a first rounder from a guy who may have to rebuild given his current roster construction in a few years. Helps me fill my roster out and I lose cap. I like Royce o neale this year to take a jump and Covington to repeat his performance. Gives me around 6M or so to go sign someone else and/or more flexibility w trades. I think Royce o neale is good enough to be someone else’s resign candidate next year - just not mine. I see cp3 regressing especially after all he did last season and all the minutes he played. Most minutes he’s ever played by far in a season including regular and playoffs - I see cam payne taking more minutes this year and Phoenix involving bridges more to acclimate him for when cp3 retires eventually.

Pass. Nice deal for Remy this year, think Salami picking up ATL ‘24 1st is sneaky.
