Disclaimer: These rankings were based on a lot of factors but primarily the Knick's Organizations interactions with the league members this season. Additional factors considered were response time, communication level, number of counter-offers, and overall reasonability. Some of the lower ranked GMs could easily be amazing dealers and just haven't had any great interactions yet with the Knicks. Please do not hold any of these opinions against the Knicks in future trade discussions. The Knicks hope to make deals with all of you guys soon.
Tier 1: Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
1. Grizzlies - This may be a surprise but I don't think there's anyone else in the league that exemplifies the qualities you want to see in a trade partner more than Royce. He's communicative, reasonable and easy to talk things out about.
2. Raptors - Perk establishes what he's looking for immediately and if you are willing to meet that, a deal is secured in no time.
3. Warriors - Easiest dude to talk trades with and he's only this low because he hasn't yet confirmed a deal with the Knicks franchise.
4. Bulls - People think he wants to rip you off but honestly he's very upfront and negotiations aren't that difficult. You can also expect a response ASAP.
5. Jazz - Responsive and someone who will always counter if the deal is remotely intriguing.
6. Pistons - Legit haven't dealt with anyone that gets to the point as quickly as this guy. It make take a little bit for him to respond but a couple messages is all it takes to get a deal done.
7. Nuggets - Another straight to the point GM. If you sit down and talk deals with this guy and he likes any part of an offer you'll likely get the deal done in no time. There is not wishy washy ness with this man.
Tier 2: Middle of the Pack
8. Blazers - Cerebral trader who is responsive as hell and explains his thought process behind everything.
9. Twolves - My homie!
10. Hawks - Trey takes ages to respond these days but he's a reasonable guy who will attempt to make counter offers.
11. Bucks - Treats deals like business meetings but can be a little stingy about his young players.
12. Magic - New GM Sarge is savy and you'll never have as many in depth discussions analyzing a trade as you will talking to this man.
13. Heat - He's only a text away which makes life easy as hell, I just wish he'd be more open to dealing his big guns.
14. Cavs - Will lay out his expectations clearly and is a pretty reasonable dude overall.
15. Kings - Can have lofty expectations for scrubby players but still make it very easy to go through offers and counters.
16. Pacers - Nice guy and I don't wanna piss him off.
17. Nets - If you can get a gif reaction from this guy for an offer you are winning lmao
18. Rockets - It's tough to get this man to agree to a deal of any kind but he's still responsive and will let you know what he's thinking.
19. Wizards - I wish Wiz would make some concrete offers sometimes instead of being general with his requests but overall still very easy to talk to.
Tier 3: Good Luck 😂
20. Celtics - If you're not offering something exciting or a first round pick your offer will likely be berated and torn apart.
21. Thunder - I feel like this GM could be in the middle tier easily and I'm only knocking him down because you have to sift through a lot of unreasonable asks before you get to actually doable deals.
22. Mavericks - This guy is my man but I have 0 clue how he gets so many trades done. It feels like he wants an overpay for every deal 😂
23. Pelicans - This man has improved a lot especially with responsiveness but I think he is still this low because of his tendency to back out of deals in the past. Hopefully he can make the leap this season.
24. Lakers - I know the Lakers have gotten some flack recently and I'm not piling on. Just wish the Lakers were a bit more communicative about expectations and offers.
25. Hornets - Barely responsive and has yet to make the Knicks any kind offer or counter offer.
26. Suns - If he doesn't like what you're offering or asking for he'll straight ghost you and when he does offer, they are pretty high demands.
27. 76ers - Bruh this man will make an offer, you'll be down and then he just won't respond for 2 days while he's trying to get a better offer from someone else. He's a really tough cookie to crack.
28. Clippers - Lmaooo Remy only saved from being last because at least he'll respond sometimes. Easily the most unpredictable GM in the league and you got 0 clue what he's thinking. I have yet to receive a counter-offer. He's still my dawg tho.
29. Spurs - Feel like this GM is just completely inaccessible to me. My opinion could completely change if he joined discord though 🙂
