2020 Basketball Dynasty 26 Power Rankings - Week 8
1. Milwaukee Bucks (12-2-1) - We've got a new king in town! 30 FP/G for Milwaukee this week...that's the highest I've seen so far. This team is on cruise control right now and if Lamelo keeps this up (no chance he does right?) you'd think they're locks to make it out the East.
2. Golden State Warriors (11-4) - One of my top candidates for GM of the year as Caleb has turned this team into a bona fide contender.
3. New Orleans Pelicans (12-3) - Starting to really put up the high point totals...still waiting on Salami to make a huge splash, but losing hope that it comes this year.
4. Minnesota Timberwolves (13-1-1) - Tough week for the Timberwolves as they take their first loss of the year, but it also came on a week where they only had 33 games. WCJ should be back soon, but the real story here is AD's achilles. You'd think he rests more now and down the stretch to make sure he's healthy for the playoffs which would really hurt Minnesota in our playoffs.
5. Boston Celtics (10-5) - Would've been an easy 2-0 week any other week, but ran into Salami and the Pelicans. Happy to see KAT back and playing well.
6. Cleveland Cavaliers (11-4) - I like the trade for Eric Gordon. With Horford trade rumors swirling, Roby could be a sneaky guy come playoff time.
7. Los Angeles Lakers (13-2) - Oladipo's health is a cause for concern and he'll likely be rested a lot down the stretch. This team really needs him to produce to take that next step in the tier with Golden State, Minnesota, etc.
8. Miami Heat (12-3) - Nunn has played very well since getting playing time again. Now we see if Herro can start to turn it on in a thus far inconsistent season.
9. Charlotte Hornets (11-4) - Honestly hadn't realized how good of a season McConnell was having. Now the Hornets need Wiseman back ASAP so he can continue his development and potentially be an x-factor for this team down the stretch.
10. New York Knicks (11-4) - Still putting up numbers without Jrue, thanks in part to Jae'sean Tate.
11. Chicago Bulls (9-6) - Can't really catch a break with injuries, but the Mitchell Robinson injury will give Noel a nice boost in production for the next 8-12 Bball26 games.
12. Atlanta Hawks (11-4) - 1-1 against a tough week vs Golden State and New York is nothing to be ashamed of. Trey has built a team that competes week in and week out and probably doesn't get enough credit.
13. Los Angeles Clippers (12-3) - Remy still bulldozing opponents despite all the talk around a rebuild. Honestly have no idea what this team will look like come playoff time, but right now they are hard to beat. The Mitchell Robinson injury will be tough to overcome in the short term.
14. Washington Wizards (8-7) - Okay!!! 900+ point week for Octstuff with contributors across the roster. An Al Horford trade from the Thunder looms as a potential issue, but we'll worry about that when it happens.
15. Orlando Magic (9-6) - Love seeing Perry stay in the hunt despite having injuries. Tatum is still not playing his best ball yet so you'd think this team may have one more gear they can hit once he gets there.
16. Toronto Raptors (7-8) - Another week that should've been an easy 2-0 any other week, but this time it was the Cavs that took down the Raptors despite scoring over 800 points.
17. Brooklyn Nets (8-7) - Markkanen hurt again, KD out again....this team has some of the worst injury luck this year, but unlike Chuck, Josh doesn't cry and continues to grind. To make things worse, the East is miles tougher than the West so the Nets are just hoping to make the playoffs in one piece....if they get there.
18. Oklahoma City Thunder (6-9) - When did Mason Plumlee start dropping triple doubles?!
19. Utah Jazz (6-9) - let's go!!!! 2-0 week for TJ and he's suddenly back in the hunt in the West.
20. Sacramento Kings (6-9) - 2 straight sub-400 point weeks for Sacramento...Davie is punching the air right now.
21. Portland Trailblazers (4-11) - Massive win against the Nets to stave off another 0-2 week. Is Kevin Love coming back soon?
22. Dallas Mavericks (3-12) - Aight, despite an 0-2 week (708 points) I will give Kyle credit where credit is due. Beef Stew looks like the real deal.
23. Philadelphia 76ers (4-11)
24. Phoenix Suns (4-11)
25. Denver Nuggets (3-12)
26. Houston Rockets (3-12)
27. Detroit Pistons (2-13)
28. San Antonio Spurs (2-13)
29. Indiana Pacers (1-14)
30. Memphis Grizzlies (1-14)
