15. Houston Rockets GM: Free? Projected Record: 3-26
Notable Off-Season Move: Drafting Killian Hayes and Aleksej Pokusevski in the first round of this years rookie draft. Roster: PG- Killian Hayes SG- Josh Hart SF- Trevor Ariza PF- Nemanja Bjelica C- Lamarcus Aldridge Util- Nickeil Alexander Walker Util- De'Anthony Melton BenchB Dameyan Dotson B Aleksej Pokusevski B Zhaire Smith B Xavier Tilman B Jordan Bell The Good:
There is a lot of really fun young talent on this team. Killian Hayes should have the reigns to the pint guard position from the get go. Josh Hart has shown promise as a good role player. Ultimately this season will be about finding a trade partner for Aldridge and developing the youngins. The Rockets have put together a Sam Hinkie level of picks. If used properly this Rockets team can be good again in a matter of a couple years. The Bad: It's not a good team. Honestly there aren't really many good pieces on the roster either, most of the value with this franchise is in picks. End of the day it doesn't really matter how bad they are because it just improves their chance at a top pick. The Future: If the Rockets are able to get full value for their plethora of draft picks this team can be back in contention in a year or two.

14. Memphis Grizzlies GM: Royce Li Projected Record: 6-23 Notable Off-Season Move: Dealing Chris Paul for Jaxon Hayes Roster: PG- Derrick Rose SG- Gary Trent Jr. SF- Justice Winslow PF- Kelly O'lynk C- Ivica Zubac Util- Derrick Jones Jr. Util- Deandre Jordan Bench: Jaxon Hayes Bruce Brown Garett Temple Cassius Stanley The Good: Royce has quietly built out a solid team and lowkey should have plenty of pieces for contenders when the playoffs draw near. I think Zubac is a super underrated center, and despite Ibaka being there I really think LA will play him a lot more this year. I liked the buy low of Justice Winslow as we've seen when healthy he does have a lot of talent. Ultimately this is a rebuilding year for the Grizzlies as they own their pick, a successful season will be the young players taking developmental steps as well as finding suitors for Derrick Rose, Deandre, and potentially others. The Bad: Not a good roster, but again competing is not the cards this year. My biggest concern would be finding requisite value for the veterans on the roster. The Future: The Grizzlies have 6 firsts in the next 3 years. Next year's draft is supposed to be loaded so landing a top pick with their own should be the goal. However, the development of Jaxon Hayes, Justice Winslow, Zubac, and Gary Trent will be big. If even 2-3 of those guys can take a nice leap, they find homes for the vets on this team, and Royce hits on a pick or two in these next couple drafts this team can be right back into contention.

13. Phoenix Suns GM: Terrence Projected Record: 8-21 Notable Off-Season Move: Drafting Patrick Williams Roster: PG- Eric Bledsoe SG- Gary Harris SF- Patrick Williams PF- Rui Hachimura C- Jarrett Allen Util- Malik Monk Util- Mo Bamba Bench: Chuma Okeke Omari Spellman Tre Jones Talen Horton-Tucker The Good:
The Klay injury hurts but the Suns still do have a lot of talent. Gary Harris had a tough last year but he still has talent and wouldn't be surprised if he has an effective year this year. Eric Bledsoe had a tough year in Milwaukee but he has still proven himself to be a solid regular season point guard and should still have a role in New Orleans. Rui and Jarrett Allen are both really fun young talents as well. THT and Okeke are deep sleepers but guys whose talent i like long term. Wouldn't be shocked if either of them have a role this year. The Bad: Obviously the Klay injury hurts, but the biggest issue with this franchise right now is the albatross contracts of Eric Bledsoe and Gary Harris. The two take up about 41 million, close to half of this team's payroll. The team is really in no man's land, they aren't close to competing, but haven't really committed to an overhaul or rebuild. Terrence hasn't made a trade in damn near a year.... Look i'm all for not making a trade unless you really like your return, but it's clear there has to be some changes in Phoenix. Rumors are swirling.... and if the Suns don't make some sort of changes soon I would not be surprised to see change in upper management. The Future: Again it really just depends on management, I get rebuilding and trusting the process, but there really doesn't seem to be much of a process. Despite this, the Suns still have their first next year and a lot of young talent. If managed properly, there really is no reason this Suns team can't be competitive in a year or two.

12. San Antonio Spurs GM: Chris Jacobson Projected Record: 9-20 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Paul George for a package of young players and picks and then flipping Ball in a deal for Jimmy Butler Roster: PG- Elfrid Payton SG- Jimmy Butler SF- Jordan Mcrae PF- Richaun Holmes C- Jakob Poetl Util- Goga Bitadze Util- Shake Milton BenchShaq Harrison Nassir Little Chris Silva Bruno Fernando Khem Birch The Good: Chris is an OG and always has a knack for getting the most out of his team despite not having a ton of flashy talent or players. Jimmy Butler is obviously a stud and can be locked in as a consistent stud all year long. My fave sneaky guys on this team are Goga, Richaun, and Poeltl. I love Goga's tools and if Turner is shipped out I think he can find himself a nice role in Indy. Poeltl isn't sexy but he's as solid as they come and I wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs start to slowly transition away from Lamarcus. Lastly, Holmes has always been a per min stud, and despite the front court being a little crowded he should find his way to minutes. The Bad: I talked a little bit about it with the Suns, but the Spurs find themselves in a little bit of no man's land. The team isn't God awful, but you know it's just not anywhere near championship level. Chris' teams have been perennial winners year after year but we may actually get a Chris rebuild year. Elf is solid but the contract is awful. The Future: The Spurs have their first and have accumulated a decent amount of picks. If the Spurs can find a nice package back for Jimmy Chris may fully embrace the rebuild and aim to compete in a year or two. Cap space + Picks is never a bad place to start a rebuild, if managed correctly there should be no reason Chris can't have his team back in contention next year.

11. Utah JazzGM: TJ Hatch Projected Record: 9-20 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Jusuf Nurkic for a package headlined by OG Anunoby and Malcolm Brogdon Roster:PG-Terry Rozier SG- Malik Beasley SF- Kevin Porter Jr. PF- Darius Bazley C- Udoka Azbuike Util- Deni Advija Util- Monte Morris BenchTerrence Davis Cole Anthony Cedi Osman Denzel Valentine Tyus Jones The Good:While this isn't a playoff team, TJ has shown other owners how to put together a rebuilding team. He has a bunch of young players with a lot talent who are still far away from becoming the best version of themselves. He gets to have fun watching his young players develop but also knows his pick should be pretty high. Don't be fooled though, if you have a bad week this Jazz team is fully capable of pulling an upset, in fact I wouldn't be surprised to see the upstart Jazz pull off a couple wins people thought they had no business winning. MY favorite pieces are Baze, Advija, and Cole. I expect a huge year for Baze on a rebuilding OKC team. The Bad:Again no point talking about how bad non playoff teams are. I think TJ has done really good implementing a quick rebuild, but if I had to pick an issue it is Tyus Jones on that contract. Additionally I know people like Malik but paying a shooting guard like him with the off-court issues he has isn't something I would recommend. I get TJ taking a a chance on the talent though. The Future:This Jazz team is one of the teams I am must confident makes the jump from non playoff team to a playoff team next year. There is a ton of young talent here along with some picks. TJ is a former 25 champion I'm betting he's back in the mix as soon as next year.

10. Denver Nuggets GM: Kevin Tucker Denver Nuggets (Kevin)Projected Record: 13-16 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Clint Capela for Tobias Harris and two future firsts. Roster: PG- Patrick Beverley SG- Bogdan Bogdanovic SF- Duncan Robinson PF- Tobias Harris C- Steven Adams Util- Justin Holiday Util- Ish Smith BenchJake Layman Saben Lee Torrey Craig Moe Harkless Kenny Wooten The Good: Kevin has made huge moves this off-season in terms of positioning this franchise for success in the future. We're talking about the all time leader in wins here. The depth isn't bad, and I actually really liked the additions of both Ish Smith and Moe Harkless. I also wouldn't be surprised if Torrey Craig gets a little but more minutes in Milwaukee. Bogdan is a better more up tempo situation and Jeff Van Gundy has always relied heavily on his bigs, so maybe Stevey is in line for a bigger fantasy role this year. The Bad: I talked about how good Kevin's Nuggets have been historically, but this is by far the worst squad he has put on paper. He has a big three of Steven Adams, Tobias Harris, and Bogdan Bogdanovic and that honestly is just not scaring anybody. The depth isn't good enough, the star power isn't there, and worst off the Nuggets don't have their pick. End of the day Kev is Kev and maybe he get the most out of this team and grind out an 8th seed, but i doubt it. I doubt he is still the league's leader in wins at the end of the year. The Future: Getting back two firsts for Clint along with Tobias was huge. He should be able to re-sign Adams next year for cheaper, and both Duncan and Bogdan should be good pieces moving forward. Ultimately I trust Kev to get the squad back, but there is a lot of work to do.

9. Dallas Mavericks GM: Kyle Fratello-Hakim Dallas Mavs (Kyle) Projected Record: 14-15 Notable Off-Season Move: Pulling off a 6 team trade that landed him multiple lottery picks, fucking ridiculous lmao Roster:PG- Jamal Murray SG- Avery Bradley SF- Isaac Okoro PF- Michael Porter Jr. C- Wendell Carter Jr. Util- D'Angelo Russell Util- Isaac Bonga BenchKira Lewis Isaiah Stewart Josh Jackson Mifondu Kabengele Onyeka Okongwu The Good:This is in my mind, the most fun young team in the league. It gives me vibes of this Nets team from a couple years go, and now look at them about to make a run at a title. Murray had a huge bubble, and while I don't doubt he will be able to produce like that during a normal season, I do want to see him be more consistent from start to finish. Michael Porter Jr. is one of the better dynasty pieces in our league. He may struggle defesnively, but that doesn't matter in fantasy. I also thought the Mavs had a really good draft, I didn't love the Stewart pick, but Kira, Okoro, and Okongwu were all home run picks IMO. The Mavs are loaded with young talent and an involved and sharp management; the sky is the limit. The Bad:Not a lot of bad here in Dallas. The one thing is that Dlo contract. Obviously he'll never be "worth" that contract but if he can get to 34-35 Fps that would be huge for the Mavs. Additionally, this Mavs team is a fringe playoff team without its first. Other than that, the future is bright. The Future:Again this squad gives me Nets vibes. Obviously a lot is going to come down to the development of Okoro, Onyeka, and Kira, but either way if managed properly this team can be a contender for multiple years as soon as maybe even next year. Kevin and his Nuggets missing the playoffs would be huge from an asset standpoint as well. I've been very impressed with ownership so far and the future in Dallas is bright.

8. Sacramento Kings GM: David Epinola Sacramento Kings (Dave) Projected Record: 17-12 Notable Off-Season Move: Dealing Ben Simmons for Jaylen, Laurri, and the #14 pick Roster: PG- Spencer Dinwiddie SG- CJ McCollum SF- Matisse Thybulle PF- Aaron Gordon C- Serge Ibaka Util- Miles Bridges Util- Eric Paschal Bench: Lugentz Dort Dorian Finney-Smith Willy Hernangomez Payton Pritchard Immanuel Quickley The Good: Dave has always put together a winning squad and he did a great job of taken a barren roster with Ben Simmons to a playoff team. The big key here is the depth. Outside of Quickley and Pritchard this team is deeeeep. Matisse should take a jump, I like Paschal getting 25ish minutes off the bench, and Dfo and Lugentz are also underrated depth pieces. The key is going to be Dinwiddie and Aaron Gordon. Spencer has shown he is a good fantasy producer when he has a role, it just remains to be seen what the usage looks like with a healthy Kyrie and KD. I'm not a huge fan of the AG contract, but I really do like him to be at the very least low 30's with no Jon Isaac all year. The Bad: Lack of star power. Star power can be overrated but I still think in order to be a true contender you need a consistent 35 point guy. Aaron Gordon can be that, but we haven't seen it yet. Ultimately there isn't a ton of bad here, but the real question is, is this team good enough to win a title? With the talent of the other squads in the league? Probably not, but hey you don't know if you don't try. Oh and also the man could use a backup center. The Future: Dave's a win now guy so I got no idea where this team will be in a couple years and I won't try to. But I wil say if Dave ever does take a long term approach there are a lot of young guys I do really like long term. Matisse, Paschal, Lu, and Prtichard

7. LA Lakers GM: Griffin Lay LA Lakers GM (Griff) Projected Record: 18-11 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Keldon and a first for Delon Wright Roster:PG- Coby White SG- Delon Wright SF- Joe Harris PF- Jerami Grant C- Joel Embiid Util- PJ Washington Util- Max Kleber Bench:Taurean Prince Alex Len Jeff Teague Jarrett Culver Marquese Chriss The Good:The Lakers have my favorite type of roster construction besides like studs everywhere. That is one stud and depth everywhere. I personally think Joel is in for a massive year after the disappointment of last year. This team should fit him a lot better and he has all the motivation in the world. End of the day how good this team will be is dependent on how much the young guns develop. Coby White and PJ have all the talent in the world and Griff will need both to take big jumps in order to be in true title contention. Griff also has to be stoked up Jerami heading over to Detroit and seemingly taking on a larger offensive role. The Bad:Not gonna lie I didn't love the Keldon trade. Delon in theory is better than Keldon this year, but awful contract hurts the Lakers flexibility next year and I would be shocked if on top of that Keldon doesn't eventually become better than Wright. On top of that a first was added.. I get having the all in approach and respect the hell out of it, but I think a much better move would have been moving the first straight up an extra piece. End of the day there isn't much bad on this roster my only question is will the lack of a second stud next to Embiid will be enough. The Future:Griff has a stud in his prime in Embiid and a ton of young talent around him. The future is bright. The question is... can Griff take this team from a good playoff team, to a true year in and year out contender. The pieces are there, it's just up to Griff to pull the right strings. We shall see.

6. Portland Trailblazers GM: Giggsy Trail Blazers (Giggsy)Projected Record: 18-11 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Bradley Beal in a package that landed him Kevin Huerter and Kevin Love Roster:PG- Kemba Walker SG- Victor Oladipo SF- Andrew Wiggins PF- Kevin Love C- Blake Griffin Util- Kevin Huerter Util- Kyle Kuzma Bench:Joe Ingles George Hill Dragan Bender Mo Wagner Dwight Howard The Good:After an injury riddled last year, this Blazers team is actually sneakily really really good. Blake and Victor had awful years last year, but you would think with the extended time off, both are in for atleast somewhat bounce back years. Wiggins looks to be revamped in Golden State and overall this is just a really deep team. We know depth wins in this league, and in a year like this depth will be just that much more important. This is one of the deeper teams in the league with quality at every position. The Bad:The first thing that stands out to me is Dragan Bender. Bender signed a deal to play in Israel so Giggsy has to work on filling that roster spot. My other only real issue with the team is that it's pretty damn injury prone. Kemba is starting the year off on IR and Blake, Kevin Love, and Oladipo all have their own issues with health. This is a really nice team on paper but chances are that during this year one of their players goes down with an injury. Either way Giggsy is invested in the squad and there really is no turning back now. The Future:Honestly I'm not sure. Giggsy is an OG but hasn't as active as he was in previous years. He has a lot of nice pieces, but guys like Love and Blake arguably Giggsy's two most productive players, won't be producing at a high level for too much longer. The key for Giggsy to keep this thing going is finding a way to sell at the right time. Either way this is a really talented team that should compete for a decently high seed in the West.

5. Oklahoma City Thunder GM: Loren Colpo Oklahoma City Thunder (Loren)Projected Record:19-10 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Domas Sabonis for Aron Baynes and Jusuf Nurkic Roster:PG- Kyrie Irving SG- Ben Mclemore SF- Will Barton PF- Jamychael Green C- Jusuf Nurkic Util- Chris Paul Util- Aron Baynes Bench:Rondae Hollis-Jefferson DJ Augustine Mike Scott Brad Wanamaker Pat Connoughton The Good:The Thunder have one of the best big threes in the league with Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, and Jusuf Nurkic. Nurk really flashed an ability to be a top 5 fantasy center in this league with his play in the bubble. Chris Paul was renewed in OKC and has walked into a pretty fantasy friendly situation in Phoenix. The key really is going to be Kyrie. While he was injured a lot of last year, he was a monster when he played but he couldn't really stay healthy. Personally, I'm not really worried about his production even with KD there, but there is some worry about his ability to stay healthy. Getting Willy B back this year will be huge as well and hey RHJ looks like he may have landed in the best possible place for him as well. A lot of bright spots here for the Thunder. The Bad:Injuries would be my biggest worry. CP3 stayed healthy last year but he is old and if he gets hurt the Suns will likely be careful with him. Kyrie, Jusuf, and WIll Barton have all had their injury issues as well. So while the talent is there, that talent will have to stay healthy to get the most out of this group. Also I think Loren could stand to upgrade Mike Scott and possibly PatC. Depth will reign supreme this year so I think that is the spot that Loren still needs to upgrade to really jump into that next tier of contenders. The Future:Loren has put together a team with a ton of flexibility. Next year he will essentially have his three studs and then a bunch of cap space to work with. He can go so many different ways with it. So while I don't really know what this team looks like in 3 years or even next year, Loren has a ton of different avenues he can explore.

4. Golden State Warrirors GM: Caleb Plasschaert Projected Record: 21-8 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Brandon Clarke and Otto Porter for Kristaps Porzingis Roster:PG- Steph Curry SG- Tyler Herro SF- Paul George PF- OG Anunoby C- Kristaps Porzingis Util- Chris Boucher Util- Eric Gordon Bench:Danuel House Trey Lyles Kevin Knox Dennis Smith Jr. Aaron Nesmith The Good:I really think Steph and PG are primed for huge years. Steph is Steph and I think after a year off he is just itching to get out there and remind people of how good he is. On top of that without Klay and KD he should have his highest usage season. I'm following a similar thinking with PG. PG came up short, but the disrespect has gotten out of hand, he averaged 42 the year before and I envision him having a bounceback year. The key really is going to come down to the development of OG and Herro. If both can take big leaps then this team can compete with the top dogs, and if neither do there probably just isn't quite enough fire power for the Warriors to be a true title contender. I will say also Silas really seems to love Eric Gordon, after a year where he wasn't healthy at all, I think he will also be a valuable bench piece this year. The Bad:
Dennis Smith Jr. and Kevin Knox were both God awful last year and that will need to change if the Warriors want to make a title push. One of the roster spots is already going to Aaron Nesmith, so there really isn't much room for players who don't produce. If Knox or DSJ don't end up in the rotation it's going to be pretty tough for the Warriors to beat the Clippers and Pelicans of the world. The Future:I do my best to put together a winning team with a long term approach still in mind. I like my big three of Steph, Zinger, and PG moving forward and if Herro or OG take a big step I'm hopeful I can win a title in the next 1-3 years.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves GM: Drew and Big UK Timberwolves Co-GM (Drew) Timberwolves Co-GM (BigUK)Projected Record: 22-7 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Spencer Dinwiddie and Miles Bridges for Jaylen Brown Roster:PG- Malcolm Brogdon SG- Donavon Mitchell SF- Jaylen Brown PF- Julius Randle C- Anthony Davis Util- Tyrese Halliburton Util- Wes Matthews Bench:Alex Caruso Jordan Poole Nic Batum Desmond Bane Bismack Biyombo The Good:First off I wanna say new management has done a fantastic job since coming in. A lot of times you see new owners either not make any deals at all or make poor deals. This was not the case here, new Wolves management made shrewd trade after shrewd trade and have now created their own spin on what was already a contender. This team is loaded at the top. Donavon Mitchell and Anthony Davis are two fantasy stars and are one of the best duos this league has to offer. Julius Randle isn't great irl, but he should produce in a Thibs system that generally plays their starters 35+ minutes. I like Jaylen Brown to take another jump this year as well. It's a little top heavy, but this Twolves team has one of the best starting lineups in this league. The Bad:I hinted at this earlier, the depth is definately the weak spot here. I like Halliburton long term, but we've got to remember he was draft less than a month ago, he was one of the most NBA ready prospects coming out, but it's still going to take some time for even the most NBA ready rookies to contribute early. I like Caruso and Wes too but they're better IRL players. Batum may have a role in LA but he looked really washed in Charlotte last year. Look depth usually wins championships in this league, and I'm not sure if this team has championship level depth. Regardless they have the star power and in my mind are just a move away from being a real title contender. The Future:This team has one of the brighter futures in the league, and really how can you not when you have Anthony Davis, Donavon Mitchell, and Jaylen Brown. The interesting thing to monitor will be the Donavon Mitchell situation. The Twolves can only re-sign one of AD and Spida outright this off-season and Mitchell will likely get 30+ mill in restricted free agency. It is probably in the Wolves best interest to see what they can get for Spida. That package will be a huge determining factor in the next couple years for Twolves, but regardless the future is bright.

2. LA Clippers GM: Remy \ LA Clippers GM (Remy)Projected Record: 23-6 Notable Off-Season Move: Trading Jimmy Butler and Richaun Holmes for a Lonzo Ball and Josh Richardson package Roster:PG- Trae Young SG- Luke Kennard SF- Cam Reddish PF- Al Horford C- Hassan Whiteside Util- Kyle Lowry Util- Lonzo Ball Bench:Mitchell Robinson Jalen Brunson Frank Nitlikina Paul Millsap Landry Shamet The Good:Ever since Remy has entered the league he has rapidly turned around this Clippers franchise. He's made shrewd deal after shrewd deal and it resulted with his first division title last year. Now his squad is back looking to make a title run. The strength here is the team's incredible depth. Every single player on the team should have a decent role and this year depth is going to be crucial. Trae Young is one of the bright young talents in this league and should lead this team. Al Horford is in a decent situation to produce and one would think Kennard, Cam, and Lonzo all take steps forward too. Outside of Trae there isn't a ton "starpower" but this is probably the deepest team in the league top to bottom and that really does matter in this league. The Bad:My issue here is the roster construction. Remy has 5 point guards. He has 5 SF, PF, Centers combined. I don't think it'll matter a ton in the regular season, but as the playoffs approach there may be nights where he leaves points on the board because he can't play all of his point guards. That matters. On top of that Hassan was a no brainer starter last year and the water is a little murkier in Sacramento this year. Al Horford should ball but in a rebuilding OKC team I can't imagine him consistently getting more than 30-32. Again there isn't much wrong with the deepest squad in the league, but I think Remy could stand to flip a PG for a wing or PF. The Future:If you didn't know already Remy will be really good every year. He only makes good trades, and will be there to pounce at any opportunity of a deal. His team is young with no real terrible contracts, and he is one of the most active owners in this league. Good luck to everyone in the Pacific division.
