Not sure how this shit works, is $300 for 4 years technically a better offer? If not I'll up it to 5 years.

Not sure how this shit works, is $300 for 4 years technically a better offer? If not I'll up it to 5 years. The contract length has no impact on who wins the bid, but you must increase the previous bid by at least $250K. In other words, yes it was a better offer, even at 4 years instead of 5, but it would've been invalid because you weren't raising the bid enough. There's a whole thread titled FA Rules under the free agency tab that would be helpful to read. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

No I'm not, traded Henson. Fix your shit Perhaps this will help: Russell Westbrook - $26.54M, not 17.77 Andre Drummond - $22.12M Bismack Biyombo - $17.00M Wes Matthews - $17.15M Justise Winslow - $2.59M Kelly Oubre - $2.00M, not 2.17 AJ Jammons - $0.65M Juan Hernangomez - $1.99M Isaiah Whitehead - $1.07M Furkan Korkmaz - free/rights Lucas Noguiera - $1.92M Total - $93.03M Thus, your bid would put you over cap and it is invalid. Pay attention, and fix your shit. Pelicans still leading this bid at $250K for five years.

Why do I get westbrooks new contract if I drafted him at 17

that's a fair question, should ask wars to be sure, but i know tj was forced to take on mccollum's contract extension even though it happened after he drafted him, and historically salary changes that take place before the current contract ends are considered valid... if someone extends while still in the last year of their current contract, for instance. it is kind of a unique situation though.

This is a super unique situation in that his actual salary for this year increases. Generally all contract changes before the contract expires move to the actual contract. But in this case you dos draft before extension, so it is your call on whether or not you want to take on new extension or leave him at what he was before and a UFA. LMK
