Sup ya’ll, it’s your boy Perk. Just going to share my thoughts on this bullshit that shut down the league and fantasy sports. Quick note on my shit before I start throwing haymakers. I thought this was my year. I was up 200 points on the Bucks and was fortunate enough to have my guys back fully healthy, and Giannis was slated to miss another game or two for the Bucks. He would also be out a few other players who were mostly day to day. I saw the finals in my future, assuming one of my top guys didn’t suddenly break their legs or their penis. Possibly my championship run this year. Theis was having a great month and finally had become cemented as a 25+ mpg starter on the Celtics, playing nearly 30 minutes a game most nights. Also, apologies to my German dude, I called him “Tis” on the broadcast a few times before I realized what I was doing. I was really starting to like this guy and these niggas started comparing him to me. And on that note, If Doc let me throw in a few threes here and there, maybe people would have saw me as an Embiid type player, except not the part about being a pussy and a loser. Nigga talks the most shit and can’t back it up. Bitch.
Theis wants to emulate his nigga Perk
So now we have to prepare for an extended year, or an offseason. Who knows? NBA players just gotta be working on post moves in the offseason on their personal courts at their large ass houses. It is what it is, stop complaining about being stuck at home when you live in a house with a 6-car garage and your hot tubs n shit. I’m out here trying to drop weight and be positive while Royce White is out here trying to start some shit, settle down child and stop talking that shit! Maybe Royce was ahead of his time, airplanes are kind of scary I guess 😊 😊 😊
RIP Kobe, loved playing you in the finals bro.
Stay safe, bang minimal quantities of women, use protection if she looks ratchet, and let’s talk some offseason together. Who ya’ll think was the MVP of this season? LeBron was getting his stats out in La La Land, although Anthony Davis was a major contributor to his success as well. Giannis was playing for some big stat lines. We know it ain’t all about stats, before Towns got hurt, his numbers were massive every game, but it needs to equate to winning! Which is why I’m torn about my choice: Damian Lillard. His team won some games but they weren’t on the top of the conference. That being said, he is the most valuable player to his team, and his streaks of 50+ points were insane.
You know I like my Celtics. I was disappointed to see the season end because the Celtics played some good basketball when fully healthy. Tatum was getting really good, but when the rest of the team was healthy he was really good and not doing too much hero ball. Smart was his usual self on defense, but a big cog in the office. Was disappointed with Kemba this year statistically, but he’s a good teammate who cares about winning at the end of the day, so that gelled with the team. Hayward had some flashes but kept getting held out with injuries. How far would the Celtics go this year? Would they lose to the Bucks? Philly is pretty overrated but talented, would they have made it farther this year? How the fuck did Toronto stay alive that long in the standings? Which brings me to my next question.
Most improved player: Is it Siakam? He was putting the moves on early, and had a little injury that slowed him down but showcased his value to his team. Bam Adebayo impressed in the assist category, but I don’t read into the stats all that much when you can use the eye test to see what a player is capable of. Miami was right to get rid of Whiteside; it’s too bad they didn’t sling him a year earlier!
Rookie of the year? I mean like, ACTUAL rookie. None of that Ben Simmons 2nd year shit, or Joel Embiid 3rd year candidacy. Like this dude just entered the NBA and it is his first year learning about the NBA day to day schedule, practice, and shouldered all the year 1 pressure.
Did we see enough of the Porzingis / Doncic combo to make any conclusions? And speaking of tandems:
Did anyone out there really believe the Westbrook and Harden tandem with Tucker at the center was going to succeed in the playoffs? Trading away their young center was something that they got behind, but did they get enough of a return in doing so? Certainly was going to make the big bucks as a center that ran the floor, finished oops and blocked shots, but is that worth the big bucks?
I gotta say for all the hate coming from Cleveland surrounding Sexton, he sure has some tricks and can score well. The numbers don’t tell it all of course, but did he show he is the better player to move forward with than Darius Garland?
I don’t know, what else ya’ll wanna talk about? I got time on my hands now that my championship parade is cancelled!! That being said and my argument being pretty clear above, who do you think was going to win the chip this year as of the last day of NBA games?
