I don't know that you're allowed to put Fernando in a G-League spot, Celts... He's never played in the G-League, which is the "official" criteria for being eligible, but more relevantly he's not likely to. It was a great pick precisely because the Hawks are so thin up front, and he's almost certain to play significant minutes from game 1.

"Every team will also have 2 G-League spots. These spots are for players who have played in the G-league or will and have played 20 or less NBA games. Once they surpass 20 games you must either decide to roster them or cut them."
I mean imo he can keep him there til he hits 20 games.

From the league rules page:
"In order to be eligible for this the player must have played in the D-league or overseas in the past calender year."
The way it's being interpreted, one could put any rookie they've just drafted into a G-league slot to free up another roster spot for FA bidding. We gonna let Zion go to G league too? Don't think that's how the spots are intended to be used.

Pelicans had Okogie in the g league last season because he was a 2nd rounder here.

"EXCLUDING ROOKIES, if a player has not reached 20 career games, they can fill a G-League slot, but must be activated to the 12-man roster or cut once they get to 20 games. A player must be overseas to be eligible for an international slot. FOR ROOKIES, if you draft them in the first round of our draft, even if they are a second rounder, they are not eligible for the G-League unless they are assigned to it in real life. If they are drafted in the second round of our draft, even if they are a first rounder in real life, they are eligible for the G-League. "
Nice job BMan you drafted Fernando 31st, he can be in the gleague.

Not gonna lie, I was hot because it sucks when I can't even fill my roster due to people running up the bids on guys like Augustin and Roberson, when they're just gonna end up dropping those same guys or someone of similar caliber to make room for other people they already own. But, lots of things suck, and that's a pretty dumb/shitty reason to get bothered, so my apologies to y'all, especially Celts.
