Mavericks get:
Goran Dragic, MIA - 16:$15.89 17:$17 18:$18.11
Raptors get:
Marcin Gortat, WAS - 16:$12 17:$12.78 18:$13.57
APPROVED (3-0)
Pass. Don't know why you're saying you got raped, raps, it's a fair deal... gortat is a very consistent, reliable producer, I'd rather have him than dragic Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards
Would you rather have The Polish Hammer or Ginobili? Maybe we should put that up as a poll too!
First Take: The first deal in this league with SOLELY players is a pretty boring one. The Raptors gave up this for Dragic before promptly giving him to Dallas for a 32 year old center on a team that just signed a younger center to a $72M deal. Dragic just got handed a larger role when Wade threw a hissy fit and left for Chicago, where I think he'll have a career worst year, and could have an enormous one if Bosh doesn't come back healthy. Something just isn't adding up...oh wait
THE RAPTORS NEEDED A CENTER.
Yes they did and they paid for it. The mistake of not picking Gortat over Gallinari comes back to bite them, but the Raptors picked Tony Parker to fill the void left by the Dragon. On the other hand, Dallas needed Dragic because they needed a point guard, but seeing as Gortat was picked after Dragic this deal works out nicely for them.
In the end, both teams fill a need. This was a boring trade, but a good one to start my series off with.

I hope Ian Mahinmi turns into a SG, I should have valued that decision more, Skip. I feel like you'd be more enthused that two white players were traded for one another.
