ATL Deal:
Kyle Lowry (1.25) 8.07 9.24
OKC Deal:
Jeremy Lin (4.03) 5.28 6.03
I know, this is a lopsided deal. I guess this is what I pay for not picking up Lin in the 3rd round.
Good thing is I still have a back up plan, and hopefully I would not regret this deal in the later days.
Thanks Loren, you bastard, for willing to rip me on this deal.

I don't think it's a rip at all but I'll take it. I accept. Nice dealing

Approve, Celtics will have to resign Lowry next year, and Lin is gonna get a lot of run with the shitty nets. Looks like it could work out for both teams.

Approve. John actually picks up some depth, Lowry is a FA and who knows Lin could have a pretty solid year this year.

Veto. Lowry is technically not a FA, although he is very likely to become one in here, but it doesn't matter... he's an elite PG who will likely finish in the top 20 overall, with the potential to do even better. Lin is nowhere near that level, no matter how much he plays, and it's not exactly safe to assume the nets don't make another move before the season begins. Moving up 2-3 rounds on two picks this late does not make up the difference. Maybe if John was giving his 11th and 12th instead I'd pass, but I wouldn't like it. This is a very blatant attempt to take advantage of John's known obsession with Asian players, he shouldn't be allowed to give a first round pick for Lin.

This is bad guys I don't even wanna vote but everything Chris just said is true for once. Lin is not a starting caliber PG, his production will be okay at best. But the picks they're swapping don't even remotely make up the difference. LOWRY WAS A FIRST ROUND PICK GET UR VALUE PEOPLE. I dont know if u want us to be more pass happy with these votes but I'm gonna vote honestly and that's just how it is. It pisses me off that ur taking advantage of him too just because of Lin like wtf make it somewhat fair. veto
(2-2)

Veto I hate to do this because i only want to veto trades if they hurt the league but this could end up being that type of trade. Lin wasnt great in the old scoring and will take a hit with the new scoring. I think you guys can rework this or maybe even wait til after the draft if you feel like it

Chris, Tyler and Charlie,
First of all, thank you all for looking out for me.
I can understand why you veto the deal, but I would like to explain how and why I accept the deal, and hopefully you guys can reconsider you decision, and pass our deal.
1. Lowry is going to be a FA next year, my plan was that if I traded him, I could draft another next year FA like Rose in place. Now I just realized the deal was vetoed after I drafted Rose, this puts me in a very bad situation since there is only 1 resign allowed each year. I have confident that Rose would be a great player again. If not, I could resign him much cheaper. This would be important to me since I might not have enough cap to resign Lowry next year. (he will cost over 21M to resign if he produce 36 again)
2. I would assume that Lin would produce around 25 if start, and Rose could easily reach 25 (maybe even more if healthy). consider this deal a 2 for 1 (Lin + Rose for Lowry), I would say this would be a more than fair deal.
3. With the additional 5th and 6th round picks, I will have 2 5th and 4 6th round picks. With the players that are still available, I think I can build a solid 9 player core team which would have much better depth than most of the teams in this league.
4. With Rose, I would have much more flexibility than Lowry for next year, and Lin at 12M for 3 years is better for me next year if I don't get the title this year.
Overall, I think this deal is great for both Loren and me in terms of this year's title race and next year's continuation. Please review my comments here, and kindly approve the deal.
Really appreciate your frankness and understanding.

Hopefully, after my comments above, you guys don't veto it again feeling that I rip Loren too much. LOL

Explanation is appreciated, but the fact that you drafted rose has no bearing on this deal... I'm not changing my vote.
Obviously you really want Lin, and that's fine, if you honestly think this type of deal is the best way to get him, my suggestion would be that you rework the deal so that it is more equitable. It's just not even close to fair as is.

Thanks for the quick reply Chris. However, I fear that after my explanation, Loren is going to be believing even stronger that the deal is fair.
Well, I will wait for Charlie and Tyler's feedback after my comments. If still vetoed, I might end up with a even worse deal trying to get rid of one of the FAs.
@charlie and Tyler, please kindly help out here.

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards BTW, isn't TC's veto deals to protect GMs who doesn't know what they are doing and destroying their team hence leaving the league unbalanced? I know exactly what I was agreeing to, my team become better after the deal for this year and next, and I think I just justified my decision by sharing my plan to make the playoff run. Also, just for the argument sake, Whether the deal is fair or not, should not just based on Lin VS. Lowry, but also depends on who I could draft with the 5th and 6th pick, ` One more point, I traded my 2nd and 5th round picks for the 1st round pick for Lowry. If I change this deal to my 2.07+5.24+8.07+9.24 for OKC's 4.03+5.28+6.03 ~ 2.07 + 8.07 for 4.03 + 6.03 (considering 5.24 = 5.28, 9.24 almost has no value). Would you still think this is a unfair deal? Not trying to change your mind. I guess I am just too bored here. LOL

Yeah man sorry but bringing Rose into the equation and telling me your going to make a title run with him just makes this even worse. I love rose more than anybody but putting your faith into him and Lin at this point just isn't smart. Plus im voting on the deal as it stands and it's not close, rework it so u give later picks and I'll approve possibly.
