Pacers Trade - Emmanuel Mudiay Pacers 4th Round Pick Pacers 6th Round Pick
Nets Trade - Andre Drummound Nets 8th Round Pick
Accept. Honestly don't see many players I love anymore so I upgrade from Mudiay to Drummound. Like my core of Westbrook and Drummound now. Good dealing Nets.

I accept. Drummond's a helluva a center. The dude averaged 16/14/1.4blks over 81 games. Drumsticks as I like to call him is just monstrous and in SVG's system of 4+1, his value is crazy high. To top it off he's only 22!
With that embellishment said, Drummond's on a huge ass contract. I'm not figuring to compete this year or the next or anytime soon for that matter (well maybe soon...). His bloated contract and elite play don't really fit the direction I want to bring this team in.
Mudiay on the other hand is on an affordable rookie contract. He OOZES potential out of all his bodily orifices. He's 6'5, had a great season post-All Star break, and for what it's worth he was very highly touted as a prospect (a 99 from NBADraft.net! /s). It's only been one season. It's silly to be so low on this guy when he's only 20. I get a couple of middle rounders to boot.

Approve.
I know people are going to be freaking out but i don't really see it to be that bad. I think Nets could have gotten more, but there is a reason Mudiay went as high as a second rounder. I think he has a lot of potential and rookie deals in the new cap become unbelievably valuable. Mudiay is still very young, and if you look at the now elite point guards, a lot of them had similar statistical seasons as Mudiay he has obviously been given the role as the franchise point guard. There are also still a lot of really good young prospects like Bender, etc still available. Obviously right now Nets loses, but i don't think again there is anyway you can say there is no chance Nets can ever benefit from this, especially with Drummond being as expensive as it. As you all know i'm a huge fan of letting each owner run their own team, and i think theres nothing more satisfying as an owner is looking back 3 years later on a trade everyone said you lost, and winning. I can tell Nets really believes in this, and even if i think he could have gotten more its not enough for a veto for me because of the combo of Mudiay's potential and contract.

Approve Mudiay has got the potential to be special. I got to respect the way Nets wants to take his team. I think with the picks he got and mudiay it isn't as bad as some people may suggest. Overall Drummond is the best player in the deal but it's not the worst value for him.

Veto
Ill preface this by saying I'm all for people running their own teams, you do what u want, you fuck your shit up, better for me. I think part of the problem the league before this one died tho is because while we had a really solid group, it was top heavy as fuck and we couldn't find anyone that wanted those shit teams. Now Josh seems like a great guy, intelligent owner, I'm sure he's here for the long haul. This deal is detrimental to me though, as I see this as a without saying it, give up. While your high on Mudiay, this deal makes sense with Mudiay/2nd/3rd or something. The players he can draft I just can't see this as fair value. Drum costs 22M, thats not bad, trust me you can get a haul once the teams settle down after the draft and everything. He's the top center in the game. Your gonna have 30+ million available in cap and spend it on shit in FA seen it before. To me it's not enough, rework it even though it'll be probably be passed but it's not close in my eyes.

Actually kinda surprised that this one is causing such controversy, I was ready to pass without explanation but nets hadn't accepted yet when I saw it...
Yeah, drummond is a stud, but to me this is an acceptable return to get for a high level player on an expensive contract. Mudiay is legit, and as wars said there are lots of good potential guys out there still, especially if you're taking the long view approach and you're smart about it. I get where bulls is coming from, new owners do tend to overworry about paying a high price for a stud (honestly, drummond's contract is not bad at all), and I'd like to see people waiting to get a feel for how the league works before throwing in the towel on early success and trading away their top pick... plus, in all likelihood drummond will be far and away the best player to come out of this deal. but, nets could potentially get three very effective producers in return for one (that 8th rounder has a much lower probability of making any long term impact). Easy pass for me.
