Knicks send John Wall to Nola in a shocking blockbuster
John Wall may have had a down year in 2017, but he should make the Pelicans the early 2018 favorites
The Pelicans and Knicks just completed a deal that sent John Wall to New Orleans for Derrick Favors, Frank Nitlinkina, and 3 future firsts. This deal really works well for both sides. Some people will scratch their head at this move for the Knicks. They won the first ever basketballdynasty26 title and lost in the Eastern Conference Finals last year. But being a GM requires making tough moves. With John Wall the Knicks were cap strapped and not quite sure if they had enough. This moves frees up a little more space, gives them a young player in Frank with a lot of upside, a solid producer in Favors, and 3 1sts rounders which we all know are extremely valuable in this league. The Pelicans fans have to also be thrilled with this trade. The Pelicans have made shrewd move after shrewd move the past two years resulting in a lot of assets. They finally used these assets to acquire a multiple time all-star and a truly game changing point guard. Russ and Wall will form easily the best point guard duo in the league and again should make the Pelicans the early favorite for next season's title. Expect both these teams to continue to make moves in their respective directions. We'll have everything broken down for you here.
