Confirm. Prefer the control of a rookie. Tough losing Payton. Was a big fan. Thanks Nuggets.

Why give away a 23 year old pg WHO STARTS for 1 non lottery pick who will 90 percent be GLeague. I think it's bad rape, i almost passed cause i was after Elfrid and didn't want to be "that asshole" but this is throwing away a decent starter for nobody. This draft dies at the end of the lottery really hard, you're just getting nothing here Cavs. Dont get draft fever, my first draft was league record bad and it's cause i did this type of shit right here and ended up with Wroten and Jeff Taylor in late teens and 20s. Dont screw yourself over

Payton is expiring after this upcoming season. I was probably not going to resign him with Kyrie on my roster. I've been shopping Payton for months now and it was known I preferred a young player or draft pick.
Honestly, I'm not sure why your objecting to this deal after you messaged me asking why I didn't take your deal. It was my preference to take the higher pick offer versus your offer.

Yeah, this is a terrible trade, sorry nugs but I gotta veto. Was close to saying i couldn't veto because of all the rumors surrounding magic wanting to get away from Payton, but they didn't draft a PG, they don't have another legit one, and Payton can play, multiple 40+ fantasy point games last year.

Approve.
Obviously like it more for Nuggets, but you can't say there's no way this doesn't work out for Cavs. Payton is an FA next year and if Cavs picks up a nice piece he has it under control for cheap for awhile. It's a gamble that doesn't always pay off, but could.

Pass
Peyton is an RFA next year and I really like this draft a good amount so If cavs see someone he likes then I can see this working out.

I can't believe this trade got vetoed. An expiring contract for a draft pick that could yield talent down the road. I just don't understand folks honestly thought this was pretty fair and reasonable.

Yeah it's hindsight, Trey makes a million deals like this and does he get one outta a million right? Maybe, but 10 G League players and one HIT still sucks.
